LadyGriz Alyssa Blanck tranfers to LG

Hopefully, she will do well with the Griz. At the UU she was 15th out of 15 and seldom saw the floor in 3 years. Last year she got a total of 19 minutes.
Don't want to be a negative Andy or whatever, but she may be 15th out of 15 here also. Just hope and pray we can get 20 minutes out of her. That could be a record for her in college.

Sure hope so, maybe she has quickness, speed, good court smarts, good bounding and of course get the ball in the basket!!

My guess due to injury recovery affecting performance. But at a glance looked like Utah drew upon 20+/min/game on high scoring players,(5-6), so she was strictly an off bench player. Big 12 looks like a fairly highly competitive conference, where Utah finished in the middle of the pack. Stepping down a notch to the Big Sky conference, and still maintain some "gusto" play wise, could be a solid big off the bench here. We'll see.
If she had or could do all that, don't you think she would have had more than 19 minutes playing time for the season?

I don't know her full story, but she was a very good HS player and was recruited by a handful of high major programs. Her size and skill set were obviously attractive to many coaches. If it was injuries or that her game just didn't translate to that level of play, I don't know. She would be a good example of why high major programs have shied away from recruiting many HS players. Too big of a gamble for them to take players like her, when you can just poach better players from mid major programs. She may have done much better by signing on with a program at our level to begin with. I'm sure that everyone around her was telling her how great she was. Hopefully, now that she has one year left to play, she has found the level where she can thrive. Still a gamble for the Griz. There are definitely no guarantees on any recruits.
