Altitude Apologizes for Telecast Mistakes

Apology/schmolgy. They'd better damn well run a few UM commercials during someone else's game to make up for that (and it wasn't just one spot; I counted 3 msu commercials).

Well, they made some dumb mistakes, but they've acknowledged them and apologized. I've seen a lot of businesses just ignore complaints about services/products. I don't get those who, when someone offers an apology, continue to act as if they're among the most wronged people on the planet. Especially over something that, in the overall scheme of things, is not that big of a deal.

I agree. When they characterize their problem(s) as "egregious mistakes" they're really doing their best in saying they're sorry. It is NOT "too little, too late." (Get over it, people.)

Overall, aside from the obvious stupidities, I thought the coverage we quite good. The fact that is was HD is a clear plus, but they also had some (not always, but some) decent camera work, and the announcers were no worse than some we've seen on "prime time" BBall coverage.

Will Root be better? We don't know that, do we? The Root programs we've seen on DirecTV have not exactly been the last word in high production values or commentary. (Moral of the story: Be careful what you wish for.)

As an out of stater, I love watching GRIZ on tv. I appreciate the broadcast much more than being upset over the mistakes. Nice to hear them own up to the mistakes. Thank you Altitude, and soon to be Root for bringing us Big Sky athletics. Some us do appreciate it.

Not nearly as bad as having your wife call out someone else's name while making love.

Oh, not you in particular Everett.

I did actually once have a girlfriend who called me by the name of a former BF when she was thanking me for giving her a gift. The good news, though, was she felt so bad about it that I got a LOT of sex over the next few weeks. From that point on, I tried bating her into calling me the wrong name! :thumb:
