All too obvious way to win the conference

GU hasn’t been attracting short-term players and one-and-dones. That’s an advantage. It seems GU would just need enough money to be credible in NIL. Would not have to pay top dollar. They probably don’t want money drubbers anyway. CDA’s stats show why kids want to go there. There still are some kids who want to go to schools like GU, Stanford and the Ivies.

What is NIL money doing to the one and done schools? Are the players staying in school longer?

Nursing Home crowd. I resemble that remark. Haven't actually attended a game since the early '70s. Seems when it finall might be time to check out a game, it's about checkout time for me.

NIL is actually going to really hurt Gonzaga in the coming years...
They are a small school without a football team. NIL is really hurting the small schools and Gonzaga is going to lose a lot of ground moving forward because of it...
What does "not having a football team" have to do with the Zags losing ground because of the NIL stuff? They have some of the wealthiest alums of any small school, including the billionaire former owner of the Minnesota Vikings. So, raising NIL funds will not be a problem for them.

Who’s the Zags’ grad who used to own the Vikes?

His name was Jim Jundt. He recently died. He was part of our cigar smoking group in Carefree, AZ. I also played golf with him many times. He smoked cigarettes instead of cigars, but still hung-out with us at the local cigar lounge. Great guy. Gonzaga will still benefit by Jim's commitment to the Zags BB program, as he has endowed millions in perpetuity and his wife Joann and son will continue that.

Brad Mildenburger, he of the Stock Farm legacy in Hamilton, is also a member of our cigar group when he is at his North Scottsdale home.
