All Grizzly losses so far have been good ones

Each loss has taught the Griz something, of the 3 losses they have I really don't consider any of them "bad" losses. Yes it sucks to lose, and they should have continued the hard play against NAU when up by 16, but they learned a good lesson tonight.

Next up Suc St, coming off a loss to the cats. Its early in the season but the Griz would make a BIG statement if they beat the hornets, and at least spilt this road trip 1 - 1.

I just hope NAU slips up a little, I'd hate to have the conf. championship there, ugh...

It's sort of like a corny, Mighty Ducks sports movie:

In November, the griz are a ragtag group of misfits who have no chance of winning a championship. They lose their first game to the evil Iceland team (Boise State) by alot and learn an important lesson about heart and never giving up.

*cue montage that interlaces the griz's next ten games while demonstrating their improvment in practice and interracial comradery while "Let's Work Together" plays in the background.

As the griz steamroll into the conference season, the boozer coach who has taught them so much gets caught up in the glamour of big-time basketball and the team takes a back seat in his priorities and subsequently deteriorates. The tension comes to a head in a gimme game where the griz ignore their valuable lessons and play selfishly in a devistating loss (NAU).

*Sappy time: emotional breakdowns, slow claps, forgiveness, speeches and redemption...

So what does the the third act have in store for the griz? We Mighty Duck lovers know the answer...

I think Krysko would consider losing a game that you led by 19 (not 16), a bad loss. He certainly seemed to be in that frame of mind after the game. That said, if the GRIZ win at sac, they'll be 4-1 and 2-1 on the road. I still like their chances to win the Sky if that happens.

the conference games are still early, a win would be huge and dont forget we get them both at home later in the season. if we continue to get better we win the conference hands down but we gotta stop making stupid mistakes. the sac st. game on the road would be a huge win. LETS DO THIS

I go to my share of Men Griz games every year and this is why we haven't had good crowds in past seasons. It seems, to me atleast, that our teams get complacent and play NOT TO LOSE. When they should be hustling and keeping the pressure on the opponents. When we get a little win streak, the fans always come back then something like this will happen. A meltdown in the second half, especially when you lead at half by 13, could hurt the moral of the team and has happened in previous years. I hope Krysko can keep the team together. He has done very good so far this year.

Melt down in the second half of Boise State game caused loss. Result, Griz go on 10 game win streak. It seems to have resulted in a wake up call.

Will this game serve as a wake up call again? I certainly hope so. Won't know until later this year. And, won't know if this was a bad or good loss until later this year.

If Griz win all the rest of the games or maybe lose no more than 1 or 2, than maybe this was a good loss in that it served as that loss that woke up a sleeping giant.

But, if Griz lose saturday again against Sac St. and then go into a slump the rest of the way by losing 3 to 5 more games, This game was a bad loss. It would mean to me that the Grizzlies' pshyche has been affected by this loss and that's no way to win games.

My opinion is, that this game will serve as a wake up call, and Griz will win this saturday, lose no more than 1 or 2 games the rest of the way and win the regular season championship game.

We do have a chance at revenge. Play NAU at home last game of the season on monday. Griz will be getting off the bus from Portland the sunday morning prior to game. Not a lot of time to prepare for game after a tough road trip to EWU and PSU. Could be mentally taxing to the players.
