Alcohol in the stadium...

UM has managed to keep the evils of alcohol away from our football games for thirty years that I'm aware of. So none of you wise guys better be thinking about taking booze to our games

Or... we'll have the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms launching an investigation in addition to the existing investigations by the NCAA, Dept of Ed, Dept of Justice, DNC, FAA, FCC, SEC, IRS, BLM, FWP, and CIA. Damn we'll have to drop scholarships just to pay for the additional attorneys.

Thats exactly what im worried about! We must watch our words and our actions!!!

Even though it would make money for the U, and help boost B-Ball attendance(due to lack of tailgating), Im affraid with Engstrom in charge it would never happen?

Most stadiums that r on campus ( a dry campus) don't allow alcohol. Good thing I own a camel back. I feel like GrizMusician did not enjoy his college years and is trying to make up for it by hanging out on eGriz. Buy him a shot, Chris!

Being a former band guy you might want to buy him a woman too. Just thinking out loud here...

The policy at Washington-Grizzly in regards to alcohol is bullsht. You are allowed to consume alcohol in the boxes, and in the canyon club area. However you r not allowed to purchase, or drink alcohol anywhere else in the stadium. To me this is discrimination, if u have money then by all means the Universitydoes not stand in the way of your consumption but if you are a normal Griz fan than u have no rights to these same opportunities. I think they should serve it for all or none. More people should speak out in my opinion.

How about this: Have fun at the tailgate. Eat food, drink beer and have your liquor before kickoff. Do it again at half. But respect your fellow fans and your team and the visiting team and the school by going into the stadium to watch the game. Don't sully the field and the sport by thinking you gotta drink in the stadium. After all, if you wanna get drunk and watch a football game, why come to the game? Go to the pressbox. How is this even an issue?

There is no way I would want more garbage in the stadium them what the lazy muthafuckers leave there now. Its sad that people cant even pick up after themselves sober....can you imagine the shit show if everyone was drinking?

While I agree with the fact that more people should be ACTUALLY IN THE STADIUM for kickoff and after half time, I don't think that the game would be sullied by allowing alcohol in the stadium. I'm sure it has something to do more with crowd control in the stadium more than anything, But I think having someone bring me a nice cold brew while sitting in my seats would be rather welcome. Hell it would be fine even if I had to go get it. I doubt UM will ever spring to get an hard alcohol license to cover that kind of square footage (way too much $) but beer would be just fine with me. And just tell everyone up front, if you drink and turn into an ass we'll show you the exit gate.

Plus you have a DroidX. God you really need to get drunk and laid.

Facts are there are too many idiots in this society who can't handle their booze and feel like they have to prove that they are the biggest jackass in the stadium. No use talking about this subject because they will never allow it. Too much of a liability... Too much puke... Too much underage drinking... Let people get weird outside where the cops can deal with them... If your smart enough and can handle your booze well enough, you're not going to have much of a problem drinking in the stadium. This rule is for dummies.

:thumb: I take my daughter to the games at WGStadium and would like to have her enjoy it rather than trying to avoid drunk fans throwing beer around. I understand i do sit in the south endzone, no sitting :D, but I would rather have her remember the atmosphere as awesome loud and exciting griz fans, rather than people with alcohol everywhere. :thumb: Go Griz!!! when i was childless and single: Yes, but responsibility has to start somewhere. Remember you are watching underage football players play their hearts out, not for your reason to Get ridiculously Smashed drunk  . But no one said you couldn't. :D go griz!!!

Been to many pro games?

Rules never stopped anybody from bringing booze into the stadium, unless you were stupid enough to try to smuggle a keg in.

every home game I pack my monte 'stufed mascot' with at least 9 colts and four codiene cocktales. me and my boys finish that s''' b4 the 2nd half. If any police ever tried to stop us they would be shot or stomped. F the cops dude.

No place for alcohol...........

Then ban it for everybody, stop sending the message that the elite can do what they want but the common fan can't drink at a college game because they would be out of control. It's hypocrisy.
