Recognition is great until the wrong coach sees it, then poof, they are gone!

My cousin is literally a big Bobcat--kinda husky--she and her husband own a ranch in the Wolf Mountains in SE Montana and she and dear hubby are both MSU alums.

She called her mom, my aunt that lived in Billings the evening of the '97 Brawl and told my aunt as related to me by my aunt something like, " Well at least my Bobcats beat the damn Grizzlies !" Cousin had turned the game off with less than three minutes left to go work cows !!!

Auntie then had to tell her big Bobcat 🙄 daughter about Brian hitting Oly ( Justin Olsen ) with a bomb. And then stone-cold Kris Heppner, despite Shi__y Kitty Skipper Cliff Hysell calling a time out or two to freeze Kris, drilled the game-winning FG. ( Actually my aunt just told cousin we-Da GRIZ --won, but I love reliving every detail of this game : ) !!! )

Auntie told me my Big Sh__ty Kitty 😺 Cousin's response was, " Oh sh_t, are you kidding me ? " And the streak would continue four more years until 2002 : ) !!!

I don't know if Brian drinks, but if he does, from '97 to now--when he's in Missoula visiting Keali'i and beyond, he should never ever buy himself another beer : ) !!!

I was with my best buddy, a big cat fan, in a sports bar in Tempe with our wives. When the cats scored to take the lead with 30 seconds left, he was doing the Eagle Rock all over the place, couldn't have been more obnoxious. I'm thinking this is premature. So the cat kicker kicks the kickoff OB and we get field position at the 35 with no time off the clock and we have time outs. About 3 throws and Ah Yat has us in good FG range. When the kick was good, you could hear the air coming out of the cat fans there. My lifelong buddy did not take it well, so much so that his wife left and started walking back to the hotel. After celebrating a bit with the Griz fans we headed back to the hotel in the car. About halfway there we came upon the wife. He got out of the car and walked along, groveling for about a block until she came and got in the car. He was truly hurt. The best of the Griz/cat games for sure.
 
I hope Brian is in Corvalis next year for our game. He torched OSU in '96, 35-14. He had two TD passes to x-OSU recruit Joe Douglas. Would have been a great year but for Randy Moss.
