Ah Yat gets helmet sticker nod

If you want to see something cool, go watch Eli Gillman during that Ah Yat scramble and TD throw in the first quarter. Ay Yat has two thirds of the field yet to cross and Gillman has already separated from his defender and is runing into the endzone waving his arms.
Sandlot football at its finest.
That play is such a nice encapsulation of Keali'i's growth as a QB.

Last season he likely would have lowered his shoulder and tried to smash through both of the SHU defenders running towards him to get the TD on the ground.

Did you notice how quickly Ah Yat got his hips around to face downfield and see the entire field after he outran the initial defender who was hot on his heels? It was like he did a jump stop and pivot all in one. Ah Yat's body control and footwork are exemplary.

His footwork is why he is so incredibly accurate. Everything starts at the foundation. Most of the time its plant and roll forward into the throw. Rarely, even with this OL, does he throw with weight transfer going backwards
