Adrenaline?

Bottom line: My biggest worry is injury. Other than that, I think the Griz have this under control.

This. I watched the latter half of the Delaware-Lafayette game and the shot of Lafayette's QB standing on the sideline looking devastated after his injury brought back memories of seeing Akem and Humphery on the sideline in 2021 with pads off as the Griz collapsed against JMU.

A repeat of that situation is the only thing I'm worried about.

I'm feeling the same as I usually do: Nervous. I feel nervous about every Griz game no matter who we're playing. The only advantage to watching from home instead of in person is that I can pace back and forth the entire game.

Ha! I do the same thing CDA. My daughter had a hysterical description of the evolution of dad watching football... you start out sitting back in the recliner, then you move up and sit on the edge of the chair with your arms crossed, then you stand up and pace around followed by either jumping up in the air and yelling or yelling and slumping back down into the chair. Ya, I might get into it a little too much...I caught her recording it on her phone during the Scats game, I shudder to think where that hot mess is going to end up...damn teenagers! 🤬

I wouldn't understand watching a GRIZ game NOT doing these exact things.

Not feelin' it. Not like for Idaho. Or Sac Sate. Or especially the Cats.

Take away that insane sequence of turnovers by the Delaware in the first half, and they would have won big.

Am I too complacent? Are all of us? Is the team?

As they should have, being a scholarship team playing against a non-scholarship team at home. Certainly not taking a win tomorrow for granted, but unless the boys really lay an egg tomorrow, they're the better team playing in the hardest place to play in FCS and should be on to the next round.

Each year, the University of Delaware awards more than 220 scholarships to deserving Blue Hens Student-Athletes.

The coaches will have the team ready. They’ve had them ready every game since NAU, and they will again tomorrow. I don’t know how you’re not jacked….I sure as hell am. This feels so much like 2008 and 2009, all the way down to the fear of Hauck departing if he wins a title    honestly, the team will be fine. I watched the entirety of the Lafayette vs Delaware game, and I really think Delawares offense is going to find its real tough sledding going against this Montana defense. If they’re on that third string quarterback and still without their top running back, that alone would make it real tough for them, but I’ve also heard they’re without one of their top offensive linemen and several players in their secondary. Again, Griz will be fine, and even if the offense struggles to find early rhythm after the by (which I think they will, because historically they have) the defense will be able to give them time to heat back up.

Yahooooooooo!!!!!!!

I'm also experiencing a strange vibe for this game. I don't like the bye issue that haunts the GRIZ. 😕 Additionally, have we played another team this year with as large of O & D lines? Lastly, I get a strong sense their #1 QB and RB will be back for this game. I'm not on board with the pushover perspective several have ascribed to the Hens. Let's see how things shake out in the 1st half, and hopefully I'm just suffering from the last 14 years of lousy play-off games. Yes, yes, a couple years were okay, but they haven't made it beyond the quarter-finals. I really want to see them get to the championship this year. The thought of them having to play, Idaho, Sac, or the Scats isn't a fun line of thinking. Remember what the odds are of beating the same team twice in one year, and seeing them again after only a couple weeks... Nope, I don't like it!
I do NOT want to play the fricketing cats again. I hope they get their kitty bottoms beaten!!!!

Was referring to Laffayette.

Wait, never mind. I see I'm about a decade behind the times on this. In any event, the Griz are a significantly better team than Lafayette.
