RB probably a wash.
OL I'll take the Cal transfer in a close contest
DB is a positive
WR vs LB wash...WR had upside, LB is a depth need
QB at this point is a negative
add in a K
Definitely agree net positive. Now is the team better? There are some HUGE shoes to fill with graduation etc. Dang I want some DL and OL...
Good hell...obviously I need football to start. Everything is a contest now...

Ill take Rocker Jr. over Young any day. Rocker averaged 4.9 ypc at Arizona as a true freshman. Compared to Youngs's 1.8 ypc against teams we were blowing out. From stats alone, I'm saying slight positive at the RB position. Nick Williams had some major potential, it sucks that he was never able to crack the depth chart. I agree, wash for the LB-WR. Kaho was projected to start at SDSU if he returned.

Yeah, I was thinking potential for Young...especially since he was the highest recruit in Griz history. That's really why I said wash. Truth be told, both are solid.

OL. Everett Johnson (Cal) -- Redshirt Senior, 1 year to play
DE. Andres Lehrmann (YSU) -- Senior, 1 year to play
RB. Stevie Rocker Jr (Arizona) -- Junior, at least 2 to play
LB. Vai Kaho (San Diego St) -- Graduate, Just this 1 year
DB. Kade Cutler (Cats) Redshirt Sophomore -- 3 years to play
K. Johan Silver (Kent St) Junior -- 2 to play

Of note, all of these players other than Cutler should theoretically have the possibility of getting some covid waiver for another year. I don't know well how those work, but most were in school during.

Kaho has played for four seasons. I'm assuming he is on some kind of covid waiver.

I'm also guessing a good bit on Silver. I don't know what he has to play.

Everett Johnson (the BEEF) is a grad transfer w 2 years of eligibility left. Let's go!

To the Ship!!! Print 'em!!

I'm happy to hear that, but where are you seeing that? I'm seeing he was a freshman in 2020, RS Freshman in 21, RS Soph in 2022, RS Jr in 2023, that would make him a RS Senior next year, in terms of eligibility to play, right? Or am I missing something other than the covid year extension?

I don't follow real closely and do not ever read bcn, so my question is not to be taken as smack. Have the bubs announced any players who have transferred in?

They got that monster DT (Alec Eckert) from WSU i was hoping we'd offer.

When Johnson announced his entry into the transfer portal on Twitter, he listed that he has two years of eligibility left himself. Good stuff!

Sweet. Thanks for the correction!

Well now that Patrick Hayden has committed, I think that pretty much does it. What else do we need?

I would love one more OL and even a LB if one was out there

And a safety that's experienced in the 3-3-5 to help out with a lot of youth taking over.

We will never have enough linemen, by my opinion.

As for LBs, I'm so excited to see them out there next year. Carson Rostad has been slept on a bit. I watched that kid play in high school, and I still find him one of the most impressive athletes Montana has put out in recent years. With his intelligence and speed, I think he is going to be a heck of an LB. I don't know a lot about Genatone, but I've talked to people that talk about him like he is off the charts athletic. Wilson and Tirrell too. Barnum should be growing and get a shot. I'm not disagreeing with you, would be always happy to add more talent anywhere, but I'm kind of excited to see who emerges as our big LB star next year. We always have one.

Need a CB or 2 also

I don’t disagree. I also think we have a lot of unproven potential, similar to last year. I’m very excited to see how Elijah Brady progresses.

We lose Walker, a first teamer, but everyone else returns. Jackson rotated in and Klucewich played some - a few others did some ST duty. Maybe I shouldn't be but I'm feeling OK about the current roster.
