I gotta admit, when we first signed Monte, I thought it was to keep Eli happy. The more I hear about Monte, the more excited I get of the impact he’s gonna make on this team.

First time I ever saw Monte at practice, I was like "who's child brother is that?" Then realized it was Gillman's brother and thought the same thing - it's a Giannis situation haha.

Then I kept watching him....and couldn't stop watching him. He's one of if not the fastest players on the Griz. He absolutely cooks corners in one-on-ones. He's so fun to watch. Hope he sees the field this year.

Hope he turns into our version of Bryce Lance.

Not in the sense that Monte would necessarily be the same kind of dominating receiver, but until I watched Bryce last year, I always thought "Oh, he's just Trey's brother". Then I watched him against SDSU and was blown away. Had no idea he'd turn into such a great WR.
