Our school is under investigation. We have ongoing negative press about our football program , including an article today in the New york Times and the Ad Search Committee has chosen an existing staff member of the athletic department as one of the four finalists for the AD position. This individual may or may not be qualified, seems very popular and probably is a nice guy, but, come on folks, we have to distance ourselves from past misdeeds and hire someone from outside UM. If there isn't a qualified person from the remaining three candidates, then re-open the national search. Simple as that!

No way shape or form was the committee picking a bad guy.
After all the bluff and blow we have three damn good guys. (It is Johnson I am afraid of).
