Accident after the Griz game.

Just heard that a lady got ran over by a deer after the game last night. Anyone hear how she is doing. We seen the deer in a yard while we were entering the parking lot before the game. Wow thought we were in Helena there for a second.

My son and I almost got run over by a deer, right in the parking lot between Aber Hall and the UC.

Just walked into the asphalt towards our car and a deer went flying by, missed us by about 2 feet, and then it went running towards the base of the M, almost got hit by a few cars.

Pretty freaky.

Obviously hope for the best there, but it got worse.

Nearby, and about the same time, some people from Arizona were run over by grizzlies ... totally flattened, I heard.

I just heard that those Arizona folks who were attacked by the mad grizzlies aren't expected to recover from their injuries. Sad, very sad!

Deer? When I was in Montana last THere were sheep running all over the place and the funny thing is there were people running after the sheep? I didn't know why they had velcro gloves and chapps on? Weird?

You may have been in Montana but it was likely a couple hundred miles east of Missoula in a place called Bozeman or it could easily have been southern Idaho. There are very few sheep in western Montana.

Ah yes Idaho, where the men are men and the sheep are nervous. :moon:

Missoula woman badly injured by spooked deer
By TRISTAN SCOTT of the Missoulian

An 18-year-old Missoula woman was trampled by a deer outside the University of Montana's Adams Center Monday night, receiving serious injuries.

Caroline Gunstream, a student at Hellgate High School, was leaving the Grizzly men's basketball game shortly after 9 p.m. when a deer bolted across the street and crashed into her, apparently spooked by the crowd.

And while a spokeswoman at St. Patrick Hospital said Gunstream was in serious condition Tuesday afternoon, Mareth Gunstream, Caroline's mother, said she hopes her daughter will be transferred out of the hospital's Intensive Care Unit on Wednesday.

“I think she's going to be OK,” Gunstream said. “She knows her name and that George Bush is president. She can hold up two fingers and follow the commands that the doctor asks of her.”

Caroline Gunstream is recovering from a small skull fracture and some bleeding on the outside of her brain. And while a laceration on her head needed stitching, there was no internal bleeding and all CT scans look good, her mother said.

“The doctors in the ER couldn't believe what happened,” Mareth said. “I don't think she ever saw it coming. Nobody had ever heard of someone getting run over by a deer.”

The woman said her daughter is only 5 feet 1 inch tall, and initially the family was very worried.

“You should have seen me last night,” she said.

Both deer zoomed past us after that game, the big one coming within 6' of us. Last year, while walking my dog one afternoon in the U District, a deer ran out of an alley so fast that it was simply a blur, and the dog didn't even notice. If I had been 4' further down the sidewalk, I'd be dead. Those damn things are worth nothing except ruined cars and people, and bedding for ticks. I say open machine gun season on 'em!

Yeah, yeah... I know... WE intruded on THEIR territory. Same can be said for Black Widows, and we kill every one we find!

That is good!!! Slim Million and his boiiizzzz from the Bronx are strapped and ready to roll. How the heck did a guy from the Bronx end up in Poca fellow? I loved it when they played here. I was curious to hear if he even knew where Idaho was.
