AA State Tournament

The tourny is this weekend, who you guys got?

I think Butte has an advantage as its at home for them and they have a good coach and a large team.

Kalispell won't win it.

Sentinel will most likely choke, i hate to say it as im going to watch them mostly but i think they're going down.

West will most likely take the title against Butte.

Butte is by no means the best team going in, but they get spotted 10 points for it just being in Butte. No one enjoy's as big of home town advantage as Butte does for tourneys. Bozeman always brings their best stuff come tourney time. West had the best season, but I also like Greatfalls for pure star factor. Big time players play there best at tourney time and there is not a bigger star than Bobby Howard.

I do not think there is a clear cut team this year. I think any of 6 schools could walk away with it.

Is the girls "AA" tournament in Butte also? Any predictions?

Girls are also in Butte. I understand that they are going to alternate boys and girls at both the Civic Center and the MAC.

The alternating games thing sucks, IMO. Nothing worse than watching a boys game, then a girls, all while waiting for the next boys games.

I have no problem w/ have the tourney's together, but play two girls games, two boys, etc. Just don't alternate them.

I'll take West since I'm from Billings, although, I believe there are 5-6 teams that can win it all. (as stated by mslacat)

I don't know who will win it, but I think it'll be a team from the east. I suppose the smart money's on Billings West.

Not to be a hometown boy, also a Butte Central graduate, but I like the way Butte High has been playing lately, plus Butte is really gearing up and should have a good showing by fans.

I agree with Buttegriz. Being in Butte is a big deal for Butte High. I think they are gonna make a pretty strong run to win it all. They will have huge support, as they did in Missoula a few years back, and I think that should give them that little extra to make them a very dangerous team in this tourney.
