A Year without winning a home conference game

Well 364 days to be exact. Last home conference win was 10/29/2011, Saturday makes 364 days. Not surprisingly you have to go back to 1992 to find a drought this long - Griz won on 10/19/1991, then didn't win a home conference game again until 10/17/1992.

Drought needs to end Saturday, but if UM loses to ISU and MSU at home this year, the next chance for a home conference win will be 10/15/2013, 717 days. That gets back to the Donavan days, when the Griz went 735 days without a home conference win between 10/8/83 and 10/12/85.

Wow. That's impressive. UM will destroy ISU.

How many teams have beat the Griz in WA Griz, two games in a row? Has Eastern?

Yep, the last team (and only team) to do it was EWU. They beat us here in 1990, and again in 1992. 1990 was the last year that the Griz lost 2 regular season home games in WA Griz.

If the Cats beat us here this year, it will be the first time since 90,92 that a team has done that, and also the first time since 1987 that the Griz have lost 3 regular season games at home.

Puts things in perspective. Thanks! For a minute there, I thought the light up ahead was the end of the tunnel. Gotta keep a sense of humor about this year.

Well, I don't think you'll lose to Idaho State so that is probably not likely to happen for you. I hope you do win because I know MSU is coming to town to level some whoop ass this year. Only fair after last year!

Whoop ass? Thats a bit harsh isn't it! In fact it sounds a bit "foreign" to me

UNC hung 52 points on ISU... I think we will be fine. I don't see us winning against MSU though.

Get your laughs in now, ScreamerGirl. The last team EW wants to see in the playoffs is MSU, and you know it. :o :o :o :thumb:

Want to know how many times the Griz have beat your birdies on your home field 2 times in a row in the same time frame (86 on) ;)

2 In a row @EWU
1987 (22-3 Griz Win)
1989 (22-16 Griz Win)

5 in a row @EWU
1993 (35-20 Griz Win)
1995 (63-7  Griz Win)
1996 (34-30 Griz Win..why did we play @EWU 2 years in a row?)
1998 (30-27 Griz Win)
2000 (41-31 Griz Win)

3 in a row @EWU
2004 (31-28 Griz Win)
2006 (33-17 Griz Win)
2008 (19-3 Griz Win)

I'm really having too much fun on cfbdatawarehouse.com :P

No way in hell do the Griz lose to Idaho State. The Griz might not be the best team in the conference but they are a long way from the worst. If ISU got stomped by UNCO so badly, the theory of transitive properties says Griz win by a big margin.

While I want to believe that there is no way the Griz lose to ISU, this year they have found multiple different ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. If the Griz put out a full four quarter effort then they'll be fine. -- but if they even let up for a minute at the end of the game then they are at serious risk of a last second heartbreak.

I think we played in "The Armpit" of Washington State in 95 and 96 because there was a little conference shuffle due to UI and BSU leaving for greener pastures...........ummm.......well one went to greener pastures.

I am sad to admit that I am a graduate of ISU, but have learned the error of my ways and have been a Griz fan for years. That being said, the only thing that I have pride in with the bungles is that I have made the trip every other year to watch the Griz destroy ISU and therefore help rack up the win column for the Griz. This year it will not help rack up the win column, but at least it will put a stop to the L column. Don't stone me for my past, praise me for my growth!

Keep dreaming... I'd love for us to play MSU again. For one, it'd likely be in Cheney, and two, there's no way Adams struggles that much again. He gets better and better each week, as has Padron. They combined for 26/37 (70%) for 3 TDs 1 INT against a Sac defense that also is great against the run and can pressure.

But I know EWU won't get to face MSU in the playoffs, because they'll be one and done per usual. :thumb:

And at the end of the day, you can always rely on the beauty and impressive scenery surrounding Sh**sville, WA. If only we could all be so fortunate . . . .
