Then, I found out that possession of a still, even if disassembled, is a f***[*] FELONY where I live unless the still is used only for water distillation or fuel alcohol (which requires a federal permit, I think). I just wanted to get it in writing that I am not planning on still buying one anyway, at all.

it you weren't planning to use the still for fuel alcohol, why in the world would you consider buying one?
