A question about the jury pool

Why would the judge be asking the attorneys about it? Its not like the FBI would be briefing them.

What is the point of your post? What go96griz posted was accurate. Re-read the Quote:

"Townsend also asked the defense about a separate investigation going on involving the victim which the defense has entitled a threat investigation."

What would you suggest is the reason for the Judge's comment?
 
I have no idea what the judges comments were about. I certainly don't doubt some idiot wouldn't try and help out with a few emails to the accuser. It just doesn' t seem likley that the judge would be asking the attorneys about it.

It just doesn' t seem likley that the judge would be asking the attorneys about it. However the LAST thing I would think the defense would want made public is any witness tampering (or hint of it)

The defense has nothing to do with the nutcase involved.
