A POSSIBLE SOLUTION?

Anything short of looking outside of the current UM culture is just rearranging a listing ship's deck chairs...Our country cousins looked beyond the borders finding Waded Cruzado, New Mexico State's interim president and Rob Ash the HC at Drake with arguably better results than we're seeing right now. Montana's hiring philosophy lies somewhere between nepotism and incest...neither being a very attractive
trait. Haven't we had enough of this good ol' boy crap? I sure as hell have.

Delaney needs to publicly announce his retirement effective at the conclusion of the Griz-Cat game. He needs to do this now. Get the national search underway immediately. Another year of Delaney, Rosie, and Ty will be the end of Grizzly football.

How about this four step plan to return to glory:

1. Fire Delaney.
2. Fire your OC.
3. Fire your DC.
4. Reload 10 of 11 starters on defense.

Just for fun, throw in a couple of high profile investigations, with options for future sanctions.

Oh wait, that was this year.

Oh, we'd survive that with no impact. it was the AD's firing that was the straw... ;)

True dat!

In spite of this unusual season, it would not surprise me to see the Griz beat the Cats. We haven't seen the best game the Griz have. If they put one together, it will take all the Cats have to beat them.

And then we could watch our recruits fall away, and our assistant coaches take other jobs. So much for stability.

The UofM is only kicking the can down the road right now. Stability to me is a coach and staff that does not have an expiration date. A stable staff, with a stable program with a stable vision. There is absolutely nothing stable about the current situation.

Hmmm, sounds a lot like another FBS program in Montana.......

It would be nice to know what the budget is for a coaching position, I would like to see us look at PAC12 assistants to come in as head coach maybe the DC at OSU or Scott Frost the receivers coach at Oregon.
I don't know how much they make or if we could afford them.

What if you guys win out? Would a win over the Cats at the end of the year
soften the hearts of Egriz enough to want to keep him?

If we win out and go 6-5 there's no WAY he's resigning. :|

My thoughts exactly. I'd wait and see what the NCAA's penalties if any are. If you get hit
hard it will make shopping for a new coach a new story.

Would be shocked if we were hit with anything.

Absolutely - I have to live with my Scat friends for all the rest of the year. It is unbearable in those rare years we lose. That would earn him one more year, in my book.

Pflu's first year wasn't much (a 5-3 conference record and 7-4 overall including a loss to the Scats in WaGriz) and look what he was able to accomplish last year.

Mick and his staff have made some of the silliest coaching moves I have ever seen, but I honestly believe that with an inexperienced QB and defensive backfield, having our best running back hurt and 2 freshmen kickers we would not be a Griz team that went deep into the playoffs, although we certainly could have made them with some common sense coaching.

This is still a Griz team with Griz heart and they will fight til the end to beat the scats. If they take care of business on Nov 17, I believe that we will be seeing something very exciting in 2013.
