Curious if Idaho's the spuds what is Idaho State? BTW, if you are ever down in Poky stop by the Blackfoot rail station where they ship out those HUGE spuds for the east coast. They'll sell you a box. Also, you won't find spuds like that in Scow. If you want ag products try wheat, peas or lentils.

People will hate this, but Eck inherited a team full of talent that was coached super poorly. I would argue without hesitation that it was a more talented overall roster than what the Griz had over that time period. Eck is a good coach.
Exactly. Idaho has always been talented.

If great coaches could always and easily turn struggling programs around in year one on coaching ability alone, then Beau Baldwin, who is clearly an outstanding coach, would've turned Cal poly around instead of leaving them spinning their wheels in mediocrity. The formula for turning a program around quickly almost always starts with having an under-utilized and poorly coached group of talented players. That's exactly what Eck and Troy Taylor had at their respective Big Sky schools.

Are you saying that Petrino was a better requirter than BH? Maybe we should hire him to show this staff how to get elite players.

Yeah, has to be his personality.

Maybe he's saying that's what WE have. An underutilized and poorly coached group of talented players... :poke:

That’s not what I’m saying. Unfortunately I think it’s the opposite. We have good players on our team, but on the whole, I think there are several BSC teams that have better overall talent.

So it’s a talent identification and development problem…gotcha.

I remember 2 awesome former Griz players from Lewiston and Moscow, Idaho. First was Jimmy Farris, one of the fastest and best receivers ever to play for Montana. And Josh Branen who was an amazing RB. This kid was 5'6 190 with tree trunk calves. This kid could run and he was a 4.0 student. Grizzlies win 36-35 in a barn burner. Go GRIZ!!!!!
