Is the bobcats season over?? Lot's of cat fans over here predicting how bad Griz will get beat. Don't they have a game?
If I thought a team was trash as they all keep saying Montana is, and if I thought my team was going to roll them As all the cat fans have said I wouldn't spend time on their message board. I have never gone to No Colorados board to discuss how they will get beat in an upcoming game the Griz are not involved in. Weird there has to be a name for this behavior.

I was trying to think when I went to another team's message board to trash talk and I realized most of the other teams don't even have message boards..I think what these scat fans have is akin to what some people call lawnfuckery (if you don't know what it is google it) but instead of being obsessed with their lawns they are obsessed with the Griz.

The Griz live in their heads. Always have, always will. That's why so many come over here and troll. Don't get me wrong, there are about 2 or 3 decent cat posters here, but the rest are all envious trolls. I have never gone to their website because frankly, I just don't care enough about them to do so. It's obviously different for them. The typical troll losers will say differently, but it's very, very obvious.

And here come the trolls in 3, 2, 1...

Baldwin inherited a wishbone offense that wasn't very good. He gets to recruit kids with an entirely different skill set for what he does - for every position on the offense. Cal Poly I believe has high gpa standards which makes it even harder. Eck inherited a talented team who could step quickly into his system. Idaho had quality players and a coach with a bad attitude. If either of these coaches were hired 6 years ago they'd have the Griz in the top of the fas by now.
Maybe, but I'm pretty confident that neither Eck nor Taylor could've had the Griz as a top FCS team by 2019 if either had taken over in 2018 with the talent we had.

By now? That's an interesting thing to think about. It's early to say for Eck (he's winning with a lot of Petrino recruits right now), but Taylor was a great recruiter who probably could've gotten us to a good spot. I don't trust him in the playoffs as a coach at all, though.

And you're proving my point about Baldwin. It takes a lot more than just a great coach to be able to turn a program around immediately. Choate was an amazing coach that created the culture you guys enjoy now, but his first two teams were poop (and yes, before you say it, the Griz did indeed lose to two poop cat teams. It wasn't fun lol).

I don't know, I thought it was a gas, gas, gas! :thumb: Go Griz, beat Udaho!!!

I think the Griz will win this game. They are improving every week. Our defense might not get sacks, but our defensive tackling is really good. The defense has things to work on, but so does every defense, but our defense is consistently playing better each week. And they make key defensive stops when it counts. Our offense is also getting better each week. McDowell is getting more and more comfortable and getting the ball to all our playmakers. The offense makes mistakes that are easily fixable and nothing to panic about. They fumbled a couple of times but that can be fixed. The o line is getting better week by week, but to make up for their downfalls, we have a QB that can make things happen when the line breaks down. I honestly believe these kids are playing good TEAM ball and aren't selfish. They are happy when different teammates do well each week. And this is what you want. You don't want your best players to have a selfish attitude that put their own success ahead of the team. Like Hauck said, they won't blow out teams. And that's fine, because they have fight and grit and won't ever give up. Everything will come together for this team when it matters. Go GRIZ!!!!!

In case anybody's curious, the broadcast crew for the Griz-Vandy game on ESPN2 is Jorge Sedano, Orlando Franklin, and Marilyn Payne. Full disclosure, I have never heard of any of these people so I went on Youtube and found highlights of a game they called from earlier this year. I think they'll be good!

I will not bet against and may bet on the Griz depending on the spread. I'll be very disappointed and surprised if Idaho dominates the way many say they will. I think bobby is a solid B coach and he gets his teams ready to battle. He won't take them to a deep playoff run but he can coach.

In my opinion, this is the most important game of the year for the Vandals. The LBS game is the benchmark for the BSC. Similar schools with lots of history.

We look forward to seeing you in the Dome.

I'll be rooting for the Griz in every OTHER game this year.

I saw Griz +7.5.

I am curious what people think, but in what matchup do you think the Griz have an advantage?
Special teams, and they're gonna need to have a big day. We need Bergen to break off a couple big returns and possibly cash one in.

By “special teams” you must ONLY mean Bergen. Because the kicking game is abysmal.

Payback? Reap what you sow? Retribution? Little Bro Syndrome? Your turn?

Don't get your knickers in a twist. It's a game & we're adults here (most of us). Montana's not trash by a long shot, and watch what happens should they mash those taters Saturday. Rooting for the Griz!

I think ST play has been fairly good, with a few exceptions. Yes, FG average could be better, and punting a bit longer.

All ranks are conference. 64.1 and 3d in kickoffs. 21 touchbacks. 4th in conference in net KO return D. 4-8 in FG. Tied for 3d with longest at 49. 18-19 PAT. .7 yard average punt return D. Last in KO returns. 2d in punt turns.

That post was mostly sarcasm…but I have zero issues with kickoffs. Punts are average. FG’s & XP’s are sketchy and a total crapshoot…trying to figure out how Ramos lost that job…

1 missed extra point is sketchy?

Texas must be on the wrong page, board, He's definitely a bobcat. Everything the Griz have is a piece.

Damn. Almost 35,000 posts and you’re FINALLY onto me! Drat!

Vandals win, 40ish to 20ish.

As others have mentioned, we have not demonstrated any ability to put pressure on QBs lately, and McCoy is a really good one who can pick us apart. He's thrown for 1300 yards and rushed for another 170. Our defensive scheme seems to have trouble containing mobile quarterbacks, our secondary is susceptible to big plays, and our offense has too many short, ineffective, drives that leave the defense on the field too much. Idaho's offense is #12 in total yards (443 ypg), #15 in scoring (35.7 ppg), and they are winning the time of possession battle by nearly 8 minutes per game. I think they'll exceed that against us. Their defense is stout, too, currently ranked #13 in total defense (297 ypg) and #21 in scoring defense (about 22 ppg). Plus we're on the road, with a late kickoff time, at their homecoming. Ick.

I would love to be wrong, but I just don't think we'll be able to keep up with them. But to be fair, I don't think anyone else will, either. I think they'll beat MSU next week, too, run the table, get the #2 seed in the playoffs, and make it to the National Championship game. They are really good.
