Look at these Hauck boy friends trying to spin this. Everyone knows that Hauck promised to RTD. Stop making yourself look like tools
I don’t care if he said it or not. Would you rather him say the team is going to be terrible?

He should have done what he has always done in the past - said very little - coach speak. I NEVER recall BH doing something like that - ever.

BH all other times in his career - "I think the squad has a chance to win some games. Conference teams will certainly test us. We'll need to take advantage of every practice to get better....etc."

BH when hired for round 2 - "RTD."

It was and is out-of-character, and a self-inflicted mistake IMO.

But in his interviews in the last few years, he's been saying the same things he said before, though.

It's almost always things like "I think we have a chance to be a good team, but we still have to execute and make it happen on the field".

You can't argue with these Hauck apologists. They get a woody when Hauck says hi to them at QB Club. So, they are willing to go down with the ship for Captain Bobby. Just know, Soldier, that you and I are the smarter Griz fans, and that we are in the majority within Griz nation who want changes in the football program in order to right the ship. Egriz has become nothing more than a love-fest for the status quo. Most of the posters here are QB Club members, so they wouldn't DARE criticizing Hauck on this site, for fear that it would get back to Bobby.

It's been like that the entire time. Every season since 2018.

If you can find a quote that isn't like that, I'd love to see it.

I have never spoken to Bobby Hauck in my life. I just get a woody when we win, and we seem to win a lot more with him back than the last two coaches.

I'm sorry he kicked your dog 40 years ago, or something.

Who is the architect of RTD? BH endorsed it...loved it...promulgated it. It's his.

It was a mistake...and not characteristic of his career.

We all have our opinions, and something else, based objectively or subjectively. Delaney and Stitt turned out to be the rope and anchor tied around the ankles of Griz football. Haslam could have moved him (Delaney)out, and gotten a real HC, but didn't. Glenn was on his way to Laramie, mentally at least, before the Griz-scat game.

Third, what kind of dog did you have 40 years ago? Mine was a Lab. Best dog I ever had. :thumb:

It wasn’t a mistake.

Wrong, when Haslam was promoted with the O'Day firing, Engstrom prescribed Delaney and that condition persisted throughout the Delaney term. Engstrom referred to him as the bridge. Haslam moved on as soon as he could and made the biggest mistake of his tenure.

I don’t know, to me it’s only a mistake if he never gets there. If he takes us to the NC game this year, I’d say that’s RTD, regardless of the earlier seasons.

You also suggested he’s said things that show he’s pumping up expectations, but only seem to have the RTD slogan that supports that, which is problematic if we never actually get there, but I still haven’t seen any quotes like the ones you mentioned earlier.

After the depths the Griz were dragged to, Griz fans naturally looked to BH as The Savior, to take them to the Promised Land. Call it what you will, RTD works for me! :thumb:

I suspected Engstrom was behind this abomination but I had no confirmation until now. As far as I know, Haslam has never admitted his eunoch status. He has no integrity. A job, yes, integrity, no.

My connection with the University and Missoula ended with graduation, almost 40 years before Engstrom's unrestrained stupidity. Where the hell was Clayton Christian and the BOR during this fiasco? They allowed the near decimation of the Football Program/Athletic Dept., and crippling the University and it's reputation. I thought it would take a generation to recover. Eleven years in, how far have we come?

'The Bridge.' A balsa wood bridge over the Grand Canyon is a better analogy. 'Booger!' A fitting nickname. As part of the University faculty, Kem would be in a position to know what disconnected alums would not. Thank you, Kem. :thumb:

Keep looking. He was the propellant behind the fuel generated by the other conference coaches and the media last year...all except a few know this unequivocally.

Chipper this year = RTD for sure.
Semis = RTD.
Less the those - just a slogan with absolutely nothing to back it.

All hat - no horses. Lame.

How about you post something about actual football for once? All you do is troll, one trick pony.

It's always the same 4-5 Hauck apologists who lamely attempt to suggest he never promised a RTD. The rest of us know that he did. There was even a thread discussing his promise right after he was hired back.

There is no way we make the semi-finals this season. No way. Take it to the bank. That will not happen under the current regime. Re-shuffling a bunch of old has-been coaches into new roles won't change anything.

I'm holding out hope for the following reasons:

1. Favorable schedule.
2. The offense finally has some potential to run the ball consistently.
3. Seems the QB situation is more stable.
4. #2 - if true - will allow the defense to stay off the field more which is 100% required to execute a 3-3-5 or hybrid thereof.
5. Expectations will be much lower. Griz WILL NOT be picked to win the conference by the media or the coaches.
6. Bradford - Fontes - JB - Gubner - potential at QB - and a couple of potential All Conference O-linemen.

And, lastly - I will finally get to see several games in person - and that alone is worth a couple of wins!

We'll see.
