A little Oregon Perspective

As bad as the QB situation was what actually lead to his firing was the continued abysmal performance by the defense. When you can score 60+ points you don't need a good defense so very little focus was placed on it. When you don't have a Heisman candidate starting QB that can help put up big numbers the crappy defense comes into full focus. Right now they still have no decent QBs on the roster and no real hope of improving their defense without a lot of rebuilding. Look for the Ducks to suck for a few years.

Am wondering what contribution Dakota Prukop's performance made to the firing?
I think just the fact that Oregon needed VA and Prukop is a big part of what led to the firing.
Well, there was a bit of that at UM. Stitt made a big deal about Brady's performance at NDSU(2) -- he "played terrible" -- and also made a big deal about going out and utilizing his vaunted recruiting skills and utilizing one of those scholarships we were so short on to find a replacement because UM's QB roster was just not playing up to his expectations and needs and he needed someone else. So, he brought in "his guy."
Seriously, there is no comparison what so ever. You can not wait to spin everything into anti-Stitt propaganda.
I don't have to wait for anything. That's what happened.

Except for the fact that Stitt was working with the guys left him and Helfrich failed to recruit a viable QB so he had to gamble on not one, but two 5th year transfers. I get that you are really trying to make the connection, but the situations are not the same. Continue the troll.

Are you really trying to claim that Stitt's public unhappiness with his quarterback did NOT cause him to publicly make a big deal about utilizing his vaunted recruiting skills to recruit a drop-down, presumably more experienced QB?

With about the same results as Helfrich obtained with his Prukrop recruitment, including the loss to cross-state rival? Except that Stitt still has a job?

Are you even reading my posts. You are comparing a guy that was a head coach for 4 years and had to recruit a 5th year transfer the last 2 years because he had nothing from 4 recruiting classes, with a guy that just completed his second season trying to make due with the QB's he inherited. We will see what Stitt's QB recruits are made of beginning next season. But keep spinning the troll machine.

One might have thought this would be a day for celebration for someone but clearly not so much with Stitt still employed.
