A little disappointed

First of all, thanks to all the Griz fans that came up to me to thank me for coming. Second, thanks for what was a beautiful day of football.

The rest of this, ya kind of need to take with a grain of salt.

1) this was a playoff game, I don't understand all the sitting
2) why was it quiet? I am a Cat fan and I was the loudest guy in my section.
3) it seemed like the crowd quit on the team in the second half. ITS A PLAYOFF GAME!!!! Your team was making a comeback and needed your help. Wa-Griz is hollowed out. This is not the same place it used to be, even just a few years ago.

Anyway, I'm still shaking my head in disbelief the next morning. It just bothered me so much, probably because I'm always trying to get our crowd to get loud in Bozeman and could always point to you guys as the example.

Sorry for the rant, but it needed to be said.

Thanks for what was mostly a good time.

I think you were about 4 rows behind me. I spoke to you at the beginning of the game. My brother who is a cat fan was with me. Section 105 right? You my friend were awesome. You can have one of my extra tickets anytime in the future. I loved how some of the old crappy ticket holders kept looking at you. That f...ing stadium needs an enema. Playoff football and this lady wants to yell at a guy behind me because he is too noisy. Her husband is the most negative sob I have seen. He yelled the whole game at the CC coach who stepped on the field to signal in a play. He is the most ignorant football fan I have been around. Is that what you notice about the game? ILTC. You were a breath of fresh air.

Being serious and not trying to be an ass. Win and contend for a BSC title and fans will follow. Last year hurt bad and as others on the board have stated - the poor leadership from Rolls and the controversy has hurt attendance as well. I don't expect things to turn around for a couple more years. I can usually only make one game a year due to work and chasing kids. if I lived in Missoula I would have season tickets and will when my kids are gone someday. How the hell do people in Missoula not go to games? Seriously speaking - has to be some of the best and cheapest entertainment in the state. On the other hand, I think MSU's attendance could take a hit this coming year. Not talking smack, just a reality with fair weather fans. MSU has worked hard to increase attendance and their leadership is definitely trying. Have things headed in the right direction. Can both programs get some momentum with fans? Going to be interesting.

I would rather have the 14 or 15 thousand fans that want to be there.

But, but, but we always sell out!

But, but, but we are loud!

They sold 17,400 tickets and only 15k MAYBE showed up in seats. This is our fanbase not the 26k that show up to drink and be seen, corporate fairweather fans, politicians and academia.

This is our fan base, its about time some of you realize this because a lot of us have known this since 2003. People from Missoula dont support this team like others do from across the state, Missoula probably had 5k of the total attendance yesterday. The businessmen and corporate shills that "show up" in the good times and warm weather were the difference.

They didnt buy tickets and stayed home where its warm and I bet most of them didnt watch the game. Oh well maybe some quality gift baskets are in order to cheer you guys up?

Anyone know a good place to order any of those?

:coffee;

said by a guy who proudly quit buying season tickets because he didn't like the way the team played...

Haha, yup that loud ass was me. Nice to meet ya and thanks for making me feel welcome. Playoff football and people are complaining about people standing and yelling. SMH

Y'all need a loud ass section leader. Someone that can keep the crowd into the game even when they feel deflated.

If you're serious, I'd like to take you up on Cat Griz tix next year. ;). If you come to Bozeman next year for a game, let me know, you'll eat and drink for free.

My throat hurt after the game. But I don't get to go to every game anymore, either. So I had some making up to do. But, yeah, a lot of the crowd sucked. CCU probably had a little hand in that, though.

The attendance at our game still looks good in those condition when you consider the FBS bottom feeder bowls that cannot even give tickets away to their fan bases

I admit that our fan base is fickle

Proud to be there at the end to support our men, not like those who bailed, we had a fun team that never gave up.
Too bad so many others flaked out!
