A Kewl Idea for Indoor Practice Facilities

Since the State of Montana had so much extra cash in the budget - 500M will be returned in 'tax relief' this year - wouldn't it have been a Kewl idea to take just 10% and provide 25M to both UM and MSU to put towards each getting a quality indoor practice facility? Just a thought...

I thought i heard the Scats were getting some of their facility paid for in tax dollars because it could be used as a emergency shelter during a emergency? I know it was discussed but not sure if it was approved.

It's easy to spend someone else's money. Here's a great idea: let's turn the building of all facilities over to the current managers, hands free. The 'Bubble' could become like a tenure track academic job, a retirement job. The 'bubble' will never get finished, but job security for all involved, including the city/county bureaucrats. Think of the potential for enacting every leftwing idea. Wokeness gone wild. Workers of the world unite!

There’s no way. That’s unreal if true.

Must be nice to have leadership that takes advantage of unbelievably shady bills. I wonder how half the state would feel if they knew their taxes were being spent like that. Seems like a good media source would maybe make a story about this?

Actually as somebody who follows the legislature pretty close, I know a lot about this bill. The cats IPF falls under the Authority Only section meaning they’re not asking the state for any money for the project. They just need to get approval from the Legislature to spend that much money, but the State is not gonna give them the money. They have to go fundraise for it!
