A Historic Season (Sellout?)

A lot of firsts for the Montana Grizzlies this season. Not very many good ones. But here's one that shocked me. My wife took a flyer today and called Griz-Tix, as we needed one more ticket and weren't having any luck elsewhere as I wasn't looking to overpay for one more. Astonishingly, she was able to purchase one and was told there were about 40 unclaimed single seats left. All season ticket holders. She was also told there was well over 100 student tickets left. Those numbers seem small, yes, but I doubt there has EVER been a Griz-Cat game in what I call the Modern Era which is 1990 and on, that student-tix didn't sell out. I know they do it differently now with the lottery and all, but still, that's just crazy to me. From 1993-1996 I stood in line overnight, at least 8 hours for Griz-Cat tix.

So, at least as of 1 p.m. today, you could call and still purchase single seats if anyone is still wanting to go to the game and thinking they wouldn't be able to. Also, I see there are still 59 tickets available on stub-hub and plenty on Craigs.

That's strange, as of yesterday all of the student tickets were sold out here, maybe earlier? I'm a student at the U and The Source said they didn't have a single ticket left for the students. Gonna be obnoxious as always. Poooooooor Bobcats

yes...tickets all gone some time ago....the regular tix are going fast too....no doubt about it...we see 26k plus Saturday.

Tickets for the cat game have always been a hot item. Unsold tickets tell me one thing, which should be obvious. At least these people stay away, instead of leaving early. Something tells me the traffic jam after every game will only be about half as bad come Saturday afternoon. Anyone willing to post some pictures of the crowd at kickoff, halftime, and midway through the fourth quarter? If there are no Griz willing to take up the task, I'll bet there will be more than a few scat fans willing to document the event.
Yes, I do have faith in our players, it just that I don't have any faith in our coaching staff. As for the "fans" that take an hour or so at the tailgates around halftime, and leave early to wash the dog, beat traffic, or get a choice seat at some post-game function, to hell with them. arty:
