A few observations about Johnson rejoining the Griz

In Missoula the the comments on the today's Missoulian article number more than 180. Some of the remarks are bat crap crazy.

In Great Falls, home town of the accuser, Johnson's reinstatement isn't listed in the top 10 stories for the Great Falls Tribune and hasn't received a single comment. The Trib actually boiled down the reinstatement story into a brief.

In Billings, the same Bill Speltz story that brought out the worst of Missoula drew 39 comments, mostly from people supporting Johnson's return.

Butte: not one comment on Speltz' article

Helena: no response

Bozeman: The Cat land Comical has only posted an article that Johnson can apply for reinstatement. No comments.

Kalispell: Nope

And yet, as I traveled a 360 mile stretch of Montana last week, the only negative remarks about the trial outcome that I heard came from people who assumed that Griz obsessed Missoula would never convict a quarterback.
Griz obsessed? Maybe, but if you read the Missoulian comments, it's pretty clear that obsession doesn't favor Jordan Johnson or UM.

Those who don't support his rejoining and attempting to get his life back don't support or understand the US judicial system and that says enough about them.

what this dude said. i went into the trial thinking JJ was likely guilty and a scumbag. every day i read trial testimony i started to shift....this has NOTHING to due with him being a UM QB. any idiot that has EVER read the missoulian or sampled the socio-political characteristics of collective missoula would realize that him being a UM QB would do nothing but be a detriment to how he is perceived in missoula.

this whole trial was a WASTE of taxpayer money and should never have gone to trial. if you don't believe that (coming from somebody who thought he was guilty initially), read the testimony. my god, if an objective observer (football fans and feminists alike (sorry for the limited sampling of stereotypes)) of this trial were to look at it, i would suspect they would think, "what was the prosecution thinking?"

The Missoulian comments pages are comical.. the people that comment there are usually the far left tree huggers/feminists/I hate everything that might be republican or it's the red faced conservatives on the right.. there doesn't seem to be a middle man in the comments. So annoying to read..
