Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
Griz fans were ruing, another bad loss.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that a Big Man, soon would be there.
The freshmen were nestled all snug in their bunks,
Dreaming of thunderous, posterized dunks.
My wife in her Griz gear, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap.
When out on the lawn, there arose such a clatter,
I rose from my bed to see what was the matter.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear;
But a seven-foot sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer;
With a tall lean driver, so lithe and quick:
I knew immediately, A lottery pick!
He spoke not a word, but went straight to work,
Woke all the freshman with a sudden jerk.
And I knew right then, as they danced and pranced,
He'd soon lead the Griz to a great Big Dance.
Then I heard them all say, as they flew down the court,
Merry Christmas to Griz fans, thanks for your support!
