A case of parity or...

...the regular season being rendered meaningless?

There are always winners and losers but it seems telling that the last few games the previous leaders of the conference have struggled.

On the men's side:
-WSU, after only having 2 conference losses all year and the conference champs, almost (and probably should have if reffing didn't change the tide of last game) closes season on a 2 game losing streak
-Montana loses 2 of last 3 and doubles their conference loss total
-EWU which had been a top 4 team is now on a 4 game losing streak

On the women's side it's worse:
-the top 3 seeds all have dropped at least their last game
-MSU (conference champs) is on a 2 game losing streak (miracle finish against ISU to avoid 3) after previously only having 2 total the entire conference season
-EWU is on a 2 game losing streak despite only needing one win to get championship
-Idaho (which beat Iowa State by 32 and had respectable showings against Duke and Texas Tech, all on the road, as well as owning victory margins of 56, 48, 47) has lost 2 of 3
-WSU which had been a top 4 team much of the year, loses 3 of their last 4
