A Blast From The Past

There was a time, not so long ago, when most of us (MT basketball fans) rooted for Bobby Howard and against Art Steward. Check the high scorers from this game:

I was at the game in Billings. Art was the best player on the floor that day, which is why I was VERY happy when I saw he was coming here after the JC. Johnson had that big dunk, but I was not that impressed. I couldn't believe he was going to Wake Forest...and then came out after only two years. Now he is stil riding the pine in Chicago. Got some bad advice to come out, and the Bulls whiffed on that lottery pick. He got a big contract first, but I don't see him getting another one.

You can't beleive he went to WF? Obviously its a good thing you are not a coach because you can't evaluate talent at all. James Johnson was a Freshman All-American and runner up for ACC Freshman of the Year in 2008, and was 3rd team ACC both years he was there. Get a clue bro the guy could play and was very good right away at WF. He averaged 14 as a freshman and 15 as a sophomore. He also led the team in rebounding both years he was there. And you could definetely pay me a million dollars to sit on the bench in Chicago for a couple years.

Did you read my post? I said I couldn't! That day, I couldn't believe it because he was 2-12 that day. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. What I saw him do at Wake was impressive. What I said was that Art was the best player on the court that day, even better than Selvig.

If he wanted a career in the NBA, it appears he may have benefited from another year or two.
