I'm going to seem old- but those were great days.

Flathead had Scott Zanon
Sentinel had Scott Moe and Scott Persia
Big Sky had Larry K
Anaconda (still in AA) had Scott Hurley
Helgate had Trevor Meyer

and out at Frenchtown you had Kenley Graves.

The best High school game I ever saw was Sentinel vs Big Sky I believe it was 1983. Scott Moe was sick and Scott Persia went off for 33 points. Larry K had 34 and Big Sky won the game. It was awesome. Had there been a three point line Sentinel would have won because most of Persias points came from about 25 feet away.

You forgot
Anaconda Rob Hurly (a much better player than his brother Scot)
Kalispell's Jeff Epperly (a much better player than Zanon)

I agree on Scott, not so much on Epps. Epperly was a baby on the court when things didn;t go his way. As far as overall athlete goes, Scott wins hands down.

Speaking of 80's basketball. Does anyone remember how Plains played ball from mid 80's to late 80's? Coach Dumas had the team! My GOD, the true definition of team ball, and argueably the best offensive team at any level in the state for that time. 100 point games were routine for them. They had many players play smaller college, and a few others that should have but did not. I may leave out a few names on those teams, but I would these teams against any then.
Bill Pilgrem, Royce and Maury Johnston, Jon Willet, Rory Hellickson, Shane and Doug Browning, Marc Wachsmuth (sp?), those are the player names I remember off those teams. I recall many other players at Plains too, but cannot remember names. Those Plains teams were a coaches worse nightmare, there was not a defense to play against them that worked for long. Plains had so damn much depth, all of which could score!
Of the mentioned players, Pilgrem had a very storied career at Carroll, and could have easily played div 1A ball. Gonzaga should have stuck with him. Pilgrem belongs with those other names in my opinion. As for the team, one can argue where those teams rank in MT HS history all one wants. However, they were one of the funnest hs basketball programs to watch! Class B schools /players normally are not Mentioned with A/AA.

ALSO another instate player nobody mentioned, that was the most well rounded/skilled player. Roger Fasting from Glendive.

Epperly and Zanon were possibly equals on the BBALL court, but Zannon was by far a greater ath. His senior year he was All state QB, Kicker and Punter. He also high jumped 6' 10"

Wow, Kenley Graves. That name brings back some memories. I remember running in the sprints against him, was a great 100M, 200M and quarter miler!

I think the best high school game I ever witnessed was the divisional game between Kalispell and Anaconda in 83. Played in Dahlberg, it was Hurley against Zanon, and neither disapointed. I can't remember all the details but I think they both scored well over 30. What a shootout, it was like they were the only players on the floor. That game really stands out in my memory!

Kenley was a hell of a baseball player too, and a great guy.

Played baseball with and against Kenley. Wasn't LK pre-1983? I thought he was about 81 or 82.

Brad Huse was a couple years behing Krysko at Big Sky, from what I remember, but not more than 2 years. I know they played together.
