Northwestern A champion Polson placed eight players on the Class A all-state football team, which was released recently.
Senior quarterback Vince DiGiallonardo, who was an all-state pick at safety the past two seasons, highlighted the group of Pirates named to the postseason honors squad. The 6-foot, 180-pounder helped guide Polson to an 8-0 mark during the regular season. The team lost 7-6 to Miles City in the quarterfinals after a first-round bye in the playoffs.

Polson senior lineman Josiah Clairmont joined DiGiallonardo as a repeat all-state pick. Clairmont, 5-9 and 250 pounds, was named at guard this season after being selected at defensive tackle last year.

Other Pirates to be honored this year were fellow offensive linemen Riley Sampson and Dan LaFranier, both juniors, senior linebackers Brock Bleazard and Paul McClurg, junior defensive end Eric Williamson and junior safety Will Davey.
