When Henderson does that in almost every game we will bash his as well. It just wont happen and you know it.

One more thing. Since Henderson is black, I'm surprised that you aren't automatically dissing him, and waiving your Confederate flag.

What does dissing any player have to do with the Confederate flag?

Latent looney leftist leanings?

As for the Nguyen family, both excellent players with a ton of upside. They have a crazy ability to make people miss. Because of Peter Nguyen, I still cringe every time John fields a punt. Also, for their quickness, they don't have the top end speed that is needed to really break punts open (like Henderson, Mariani, or Levander Seagars). They are talented athletes that are better at being RBs rather than returners.[/quote]

Good post. But Segars was NOT fast top end. He was quick, slippery, and great balance, but didn't really outrun anyone. He was much more like the Nguyen brothers than those other guys.

AJ's article today had the following:

"It was a bright spot for Henderson, whose day was marred by special teams struggles. Twice he misplayed kicks, fumbling the returns."

Henderson also dropped a punt in last week's scrimmage, believe. Yet, Alpha remains silent, other than to dish a Nguyen again. My recollection is that Nguyen had zero, or maybe one, lost fumbles last season. What a hypocrite.
I recall a couple of Nguyen's fumbles that we luckily recovered. But probably more important, let's talk about Nguyen's KO return statistics; he was 109th out of 114 in FCS with an average of 16.6 yards. Just awful, rarely getting back to the 25. Our best bet was a touchback. Brekke at MSU had an average of 27.1.
Last year, Nguyen was 2d in the conference punt return average (1st in total return yards), and honorable mention all-conference kick returner.
Do you want to respond to his kickoff return performance (above) because you haven't yet accused me of "making stuff up." You don't have to have "played the game" to recognize how pitiful it was.

I haven't challenged your kickoff return stats. I assume your stats are correct. Does that make you feel better? Now, can you admit that Nguyen's punt return stats are good, and accurate? How do you rate Jones and Henderson's kickoff return stats of 18.6 and 20? Better than 16.6, but not exactly setting things on fire. Nor would Jones and Henderson's averages have been in the top 10 of the conference, had they had enough returns to be listed. Did it ever occur to you that UM's kick return team was a bit weak last year.

Nguyen is a strong hard noses football player and a definite asset to the team. Few on the Griz will play harder and compete the entire game on a high level. I'm hoping that the OL run blocking will improve this year which will show any doubters what he can do as a runner.

and he put the ball on the ground a lot.....made horrible decisions putting his team in bad situations. He is inept at fielding a punt. Stitt knows that

Again, 2d in the conference in punt return average, and not one lost fumble the entire season, as a running back, punter returner, and kick returner. You just can't accept reality. You have to keep making up stuff and bashing.

Way to spin stats and avoid the real problem

Holy hell you two! Take a step back from the keyboard and go on a walk! Your bickering is getting really annoying. You guys are like an old married couple.

Actually they may be the same person....the old split personality syndrome!

There you go again confusing facts with wishful thinking. When you take time to take the maroon colored glasses off facts become noticeable.

However, some are not capable of removing the glasses

Dont read it if it hurts your feelers.

Actually if less of you guys read my posts the better off we would all be. I get sick of explaining things and having to dumb down my posts for most of you. Lets face it, many of you are not capable of mentally dealing with the truth and my spot on sugarfree delivery.

Dont cry, just stop

I've never had a problem with John's punt returning. There his agility makes up for his lack of speed. He consistently makes the first guy miss. But he has consistently been inadequate as a kickoff returner where speed is required. He was so poor that the coaches had to try some others. You know what kind of shape Henderson was in last year so using him in comparison is pretty lame. If he gets healthy and is used, Daum will put Nguyen's KO numbers to shame.

Speaking of the scrimmage...has anyone seen the vaunted fly sweep in action yet during either scrimmage?

Stitt does not want to expose that play to the general public (including possible spys from other teams.

Speaking of the fly sweep. Only during secret practices will it be played out.

New for this year will be the "double fly sweep" ......coming soon!
