Did this game remind anyone else of the 2009 game at Idaho State? Team we should have dominated, Griz go in and lay an egg, and barely win?

Wahlberg just said the exact same thing on Twitter.

Wow.... that one hurts after sitting through that shitter of a game. It's always fun playing you guys. Funny how we go from an offensive shootout two years ago to a defensive game, only because the offenses played so terrible. Hope JJ gets healthy during your bye week.

Yup. Take the W

Sully hammered that game winner. Great kick under a ton of pressure.

What pressure...seriously that was intense, I hope no Griz fans had a heart attack at the end of that one. I felt like I was going to throw up so if Sullivan felt any pressure he has nerves of steel.

O-line got overpowered in this game. If Griz can't get better O-line play the offense will continue to sputter. As for the coaches, hard to know what to run when the front can't block anything.

It starts with the coaches learning to call plays where the young OL does not have to sustain blocks as long. That is done with quick passes and utilizing the middle of the field (sideline to sideline). They have done that for just than 1 half this season so far. That happened to be the UNC game. Coincidentally enough, the best our offense has been all season.

I do think that UND's defense is for real though.

Wish I was watching the game, here for score updates, can't believe some of you sit at your computer, while watching the game, and bitch, bitch, bitch...what's the point? There is very little on here to know how the game is going, just whining by the same ten whiners as usual.

What the hell do you expect? You want score updates? Go to ESPN.com, or sportsnetwork, or any of the 600 other websites with play-by-plays.

For people to stop copy and pasting their same remarks about the offense and coaching in every thread. Saying something over and over doesn't make a thing better. Our line is young, small, and not that strong (they can't magically pack on size and strength during the season)...people underestimate the losses of Schmaing and Poole. Would be a markedly better offense with them. Period. I'm not surprised by our offensive woes. I thought this would be our best defense in qute some time before the season, and I'm glad to see so far that it is. Glad we won the game. EVERY season has these types of games, and they very often come against lower quality opponents. Better to win them, especially on the road.

and UM is not what they were in 2009...

Nice kick and good for Sullivan. Possibly the first kick was made as well, guess we'll never know.

Their defense was very sound and quick.

Nice throw by S-H to get us in position to win.

Ugly game. Take it and move on.

Griz offense scored 19 points today - yes I know the first fg didn't go on the scoreboard because the ref lost the ball in the lights but it clearly went through the uprights. Bobcats offense scored 22 points against this same team. At home. With their starting ab for the entire game. But don't let that stop you from grabbing the pitchforks.
Edit here are the offensive stats
UM passing 237 yards rushing 42 yards total yards 279

MSU passing 267 yards rushing 62 total yards 329

UM without Henderson, Ralston and Theibes and had a few uncharacteristic drops by receivers. Get out the lighter fluid.

I hear you Alaska, however, I would feel better if the coaches on O actually called a game where they did not pretend we did not have the situation we do have. Help the guys a little with the playcalling....

Everybody can call Sullivan a hero, but the fact is if he hadn't missed an extra point and a chip shot FG, we wouldn't have needed his "heroics" to win the game. That said, I'm happy he got it together at the right time.

Exactly. Add to that fact that Henderson was out as was our best blocking tight end. I saw some good things on that 3rd quarter drive. SH played well save that one pick....which was obviously costly. Play calling could improve some but it is not the major thing ailing this offense. The next 2 weeks should help, even if it's SH behind center.

Since when is what State college does our measuring stick for success?

Man, glad I didn't get to watch this game, honestly I'd probably have some broken knuckles and a hole in the wall right now. All kidding aside, as much sugar-coating as I like to do, if the offense can't get going it's only a matter of time until the Griz drop a game against a team they're clearly more talented than..i.e Sac State or Cal Poly.
