How does that happen? :coffee:

That is what happens when your defensive cordinator is a f****** idiot.

Sums it up nicely. I'll add - unprepared, predictabe defense, can't make adjustments.

The defense is worse every week

From ESPN:
Hardin caught 12 passes for 333 yards and three touchdowns, breaking the previous record of 315 yards set by Northern Colorado's Patrick Walker in 2011. The 333 yards receiving is a North Dakota record for Hardin who wasn't far off from the FCS all-time mark of 376 yards set by Kassim Osgood in 2000. The junior receiver did most of his damage in the first half, catching seven passes for 243 yards and two scores.

Hardin wasn't the only one to shine for North Dakota(4-4, 2/3 Big Sky) with Blair Townsend catching 13 balls for 152 yards and a score. Jameer Jackson was the third receiver to go over 100 yards receiving in the game for North Dakota, catching eight passes for 124 yards.

Quarterback Braden Hanson completed 42 of 61 passes, setting a North Dakota single-game passing record with 660 yards, and had five touchdowns to go along with his three interceptions. Hanson broke John Bowenkamp's school passing mark of 515 yards set in 2002.

No clue..I believe EWU has a better quarterback and key receivers and they only put 353 passing yards on us. With the way our secondary played today, EWU could have surpassed 660 passing yards on us :yikes:

“There have been a lot of games there for the taking,” Montana coach Mick Delaney said. “And we haven’t been able to take them, for whatever reason.

Oh, I don't know - could it be coaching?

I heard UND's starting QB was injured and that was the 2nd stringer?
Our starter last night started to begin the season but fractured a fibula in the first game. Our backup was who torched PSU. Last night was the first time since the first game that the starter, Hanson, was near full health.

Of note for UND's passing game, there are no senior WRs. Also our second best WR tore his ACL vs Poly. We will most likely be starting a RS FR QB next year and he will be handed the keys to a Ferrari.

FIFY

Griz defense allowed fewer points than San Diego St against us. And at that game, UND started our backup QB and San Diego was experiencing one of its hottest days on record for an afternoon game. The backup passed for 400+. Never ever had the talent and depth at WR that we do. Now.

Why UND even ran the ball in the 3rd qtr remins a mystery. Our OL can pass block but not run block.
