I think this team is good enough to be a title contender. But I am worried about the schedule. It's BRUTAL.

Get past that in good shape and I'm booking a flight to Big D.

Time to prove it on the field. If our Griz can't win with this schedule, the real BRUTAL games, the playoffs, won't happen.

agreed. I finally noticed a news paper article that somewhat suggested this too. I think it was in the GF Tribune a few days ago.

If ever there was a year to kick the door in, this is it. By the second week in November, we won't be 5th, one way or the other.

It's all going to depend on the O line and whether the defense -- without two NFL studs -- can perform better than it did a year ago.

The skill players on offense should be better after a year in the pro set. I really thought the Griz would be primed for a great year on offense if Schmaing, Weyer and Poole were available. If Poole can't play, that could mean a real rough first half of the season.

The defense is a bigger concern. The unit sputtered last year despite having two NFL studs on the team. Will this be the year that coach Ty delivers? If not, maybe it should be his last.
