Heh, I am sure the likes of ECU and Fresno St. put Wa. Griz to shame.
Also, I didn't realize that Syracuse played in a dome. Is that where the basketball team plays, too? Looks terrible.

I have a hard time imaging Fresno St as a loud stadium considering it's half full most game days.

There should have been an asterisk to each stadium saying *Assuming game is sold out. There were more Boise fans than Fresno fans when we won 57-7 in Fresno this past fall.

Air Force is great pageantry, and a good atmosphere, but not louder than WAGRIZ. I am surprised CU made the list, I have been to a few games there, and the atmosphere stunk, and it was not loud. Maybe 15 to 25 years ago, they belonged on this list, not now though.

It would be naive to expect Wash-Griz to make a list like this. Once again, this is a blog, and no matter how much a lot of you like reading blogs, you are crazy if you think people all who write and adminster blogs are experts on the subjects. ANYONE can have a blog, and more and more, EVERYONE does. Griz fans and fans of Griz opponents know full well Wash-Griz is easily one of the 50 loudest college football venues in the country. I don't need the Bleacher Report to make me feel good about how loud Wash-Griz is.

What struck me as funny is, it's a list of the 50 LOUDEST stadiums, yet time and time again, the blogger says things like, "it really isn't that loud but the fans try hard to make it that way" or "it could be loud, but the stadium wasn't designed to keep the noise in." lol..Well IF it isn't loud in actuality, then why the hell is it on your list of the 50 loudest stadiums? lol. See what I mean about bloggers?

An there is NO way Camp Randall should be ranked that low.

Maybe you can Google the games played in these stadiums the past ten years and let us know which ones are loudest.

I'll do that. Good idea. As soon as you provide links and proof for all your lies you've spewed in just this last SEASON. Including the phantom ESPN segment chronicling the horrific crime problems at UM and MSU, or maybe you can prove that Coach Aric Williams lied to the media about Trumaine Johnson, like you said, or somehow prove that Tru got burnt on the opening play of the NAU game like you said in about SIX different threads, even though that will be tough to prove considering HE WASN'T ON THE FIELD for that play. LMAO.

Permit me a story, please, before I segue into my main point:

When Dr. Robert Ballard descended the murky depths of the Pacific Ocean to explore the shattered ruins of the USS Yorktown, he expected a ravaged, rusted and rotted hulk three miles below the murkey blue. She had absorbed bombs and strafings, fires and explosions before a final Jap torpedo sent her down into the cold, briny deep. Instead, Dr. Ballard found the mighty warship in noble condition. Her wooden flight decks and galvanized steel conning tower were still as noble and gray as the day her dive bombers sent three Jap flat-tops to the bottom. Very little deterioriation had occurred in the sixty years since that June 1942 day when the tide turned in the Pacific. Why?

Paint.

Layer after layer coated the warship. Crew after crew kept every inch of the ship clean and freshly painted. Maintenance and the drudgery of every voyage she undertook... As both discipline and keeping the swabbies busy had resulted in coat after coat of paint that ultimately acted, in the harshest and most inhospitable environment, to preserve the grand old lady.

And what does this have to do with college football, you might ask?

The men's urinal at Air Force.

It is more of a piss gutter, really. It was once concrete, but layer after layer of battleship gray paint hides its original surface. No need of urinal cakes to keep this pisser minty fresh, for class after class of incoming plebes going back decades surely spend many Sundays on hands and knees scrubbing each asparagus-reeking drop of football-fan piss from those Yorktown-esque layers of paint. I've never experienced a cleaner and more efficient public urinal in all my days, nor have I ever made squirt with more pride.

I wanted to salute this pisser while humming the battle theme from Top Gun, but my hands were full and I was also certain that any further drunken football fan revelry on my part might result in an undercover black opps crowd control fellah to tackle me face-first in my own urine, pretzel my legs to my nose, and have me on a cargo hopper halfway to Guantinamo before I had to take my next piss. Still, I took heart knowing that those brave men who protect our freedom with state-of-the-art million-dollar hardware all started there, helping add a layer of paint so that I, an intoxicated visiting-team outsider, could take the finest piss in all my days.

Later, sometime between when Brandon picked a fight with the band at a country bar and when Chad passed out in the Waffle House booth, I bought a round for the boys and toasted to the Air Force Stadium men's urinal, which in this stadium-goer's experience has the greatest stadium pisser in all the Wide World of sports.

To address the thread topic at hand, three F-15s flying by thirty feet above the top deck make more noise than I've ever heard in Missoula, at least for five seconds or so. It was incredible and louder than the Hueys or even those Warthogs from a few years back. Crowd-wise, though, we're much louder. Then again, the cadets didn't have much to cheer for that day.

Been in Autzen, was in Ohio Stadium for the Penn State game last November...that being said, Ohio Stadium is 10x louder than Autzen. Late in the Penn State game, OSU was making a comeback and the defense was making it very difficult. PSU drove all the way down to the OSU 1 yd line. 1st and goal from the one...stuffed. 2nd and goal from the 1...stuffed. 3rd down same result. 4th and 1 and PSU goes for it and loses a yard. That place went absolutely ballistic with 105,000+.

I understand The Horseshoe is immensely bigger than Oregon and Montana, but that place is at least top 5.

My ranking of the ones I've been to would be....1) Ohio State 2) Oregon 3) Montana. We're loud, but we're not invincible. Not by a long shot.

This was the view from my seat. By the way, the south endzone there is 5000 seats less than all of Wa-Griz to put it in perspective.

I'm sure Wa/Griz would be louder if we were cheering against Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado State, Utah State, Wazzu or Boise....

...but that's a topic for another thread. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Folsom Field? Please, I've been there when the games matter and it's not particularly loud; lately it's been like a study hall. It's boring and not very loud.

Memorial Stadium in Lincoln? The crowd is involved, but they lack intensity.

Texas? Crowd is detached, they just seem happy to be there. Bevo seems to be medicated.

Kyle Field? The crowd is very into the whole set of strange arm signals and cheers they do. The band is awesome.

I suspect that whoever made this list has never been to most of the stadiums mentioned
