5 Things to look for, Cats v. OSU

The pre-season all-conference qb has throw 3 picks, on 6-14 throwing and 47 yards. Has run 16-122. Running is good. Chambers is 7-36 with 2 TD's.

28 FD for Ore. St. 227-480 total offense.

Osu didn’t punt once tonight. Literally not once. There are some huge defensive issues in Bozeman.

Poorgriz, this is what a defense being gashed means. Not, giving up 1 TD and not allowing the opponent in the redzone, even once.

The “close your eyes and throw it up on the sideline and hope Lance Mcutcheon comes down with it”….didn’t work so well tonight for the savior…

Mellot 3-6 24 yards 2 int

So 5of6 passes were completed??

You could say that. He finished 9 of 18 for 101 yards 0 td 3 int but, he ran for 135 yards on 18 carries. The Bobcats are a 1 man show without Ifanse. I feel bad for the kid. If they keep going at this rate he's gonna be in a body cast and any shot at the nfl will be out the window. I don't understand why this program tries to kill their qbs every year. It's sick.

Yes, Tommy had a bad night. However, he learned a lot too tonight. I am glad the Cats have him . He is a gutsy smart young man and he is going to be a good one!!

The defense on the other hand, I am concerned about. That was a horrible performance.

The important thing is that he had fun and made friends.

Sorry HookedonGriz, but this is wrong. Please don’t be spreading misinformation on eGriz! The Bobcats didn’t give up 9 TD”s to OSU, they gave up 10 TD’s. Please repost so we can see the correct information and not this misleading post!

Works for me.

But wait ... item four assumes that the kitties try a pass. Do they do that?

Hey, I was close! The title didn’t say 10 things, or else I’d a nailed it!

Haha touche! Not a good day for them. The spread was only 15 points too. Ouch!

I'm not a math guy, did they cover? Or was that 15 per quarter?

I don't know how good the Cats are this year, but they were doomed without running backs. 27 runs by qb's. 5 runs by others including receivers, for a total of minus 2 yards. The D just had to key on the qb, to see if it would be a run by the qb or pass. The qb's must have done fairly well running under those circumstances. Chambers didn't throw a pass. Mellot had a 63.8 passing efficiency.

I assume each of the 4 former UM coaches on the Oregon St. staff still dislikes the Cats and wanted to kick their asses.

Twice last night the Beaver radio guys said,
When Mellot runs the ball we are like wow amazing and then he throws a pass and well not as impressive.
