Because they had more to gain by converting a 1st down. Had the punt went into the endzone, GRIZ would have only netted about 15 yards of field position.

Or you realize this is a defensive game and shield position is key. Shot in the dark to make it and chance to pin deep. Either call is okay, but certainly not a no brainier. Now mo is changed, and....

I'm fine with the call, but maybe since you know it's four down territory it changes the play call on THIRD down, knowing you don't necessarily have to get all of it in one shot.

The call to go for it on 4th down was just plain stupid. It was not 4th and one, it was 4th and long and you are up in the game. Punt the frickin ball.
