#5 Montana @ #13 Montana State Game Thread

Absolutely. If our offense starts playing like our defense - look out. Finally started loosening the play book up a little. Ground and pound for 1 half of each game is killing me. Congrats to the players. They have some serious desire to win. Great season for these kids.

I posted that in this thread already. So yes, I agree. :thumb:

This announcer sucks ass
I noticed that all game long. They referred to Cat players by their first names on a regular basis; don't think that happened even once with the Griz.

The offense sure looked more dynamic when they utilized the short to intermediate passing game. Loved the way Jones and Warren was used today.

Congrats to the Griz. You coaching staff did a good job of having your offense and defense ready to go. I am impressed with JJ. Good luck in the playoffs. The switch to the new offense was a good move.
Thank you! Very respectful.

Seriously? They called Jordan Johnson by his first name as well. I assumed they called some players by their first names at certain times because there was more than one player on the field with the same last name. Not saying that the announcers are great but if this is what ticked you off seems like a stretch.

NO!! The Griz have three "Jordans" who start -- in this case, calling them by their first name means absolutely nothing; there are NO players with the same last names. McGhee was always "Denarius"; Kirk was always "Cody;" etc. Hannah, I know we don't root for the same team, but ... really? Perhaps you hear what you want to hear.

Scats lose last three games of the year, Griz win the Brawl and take the trophy back to UM where it belongs. On to the playoffs. My year is made.
Once again, all is right with the world. The cats are home for t-day with nothing to do.

What is the trophy supposed to depict?

Don't worry about it. You need to worry about the "Dam Cup."

Really, I asked a question in a totally neutral way and this is your response? If you weren't familiar with the trophy and saw it on TV on the back of a tractor for a few seconds, would you know? I simply asked since it's obviously not a traditional shaped trophy and must have some history behind it. I actually thought someone on here would be happy to share it but I should have known better.

It's the continental divide. One side has a Griz head, the other has a bobcat. The bottom is surrounded with plates with the scores of the games. Designed by a Montana guy and played for year to year.

Thank you. That's all I was asking for ... It's huge, anyone know how much it weighs?
