Not sure if this was brought up in the original thread. The new 5 for 5 rule, as far as I understand it, adds an extra year of eligibility to these 5 that would not have had it before the rule change. All five of these players played more than four games their freshman seasons. They now can play a fifth year if they desire.

Great news all around. It makes me especially happy for Beaner, who stepped up a year earlier than he should have needed to with those injuries.

Really jacked about Styles Goodman for the future, too.
 
Not sure what the original thread was and I can't imagine him not being mentioned, but Peyton Wing would also have an additional year (2027). If he stays at UM that would be huge for our defense.
