4th Down, 58 seconds to go…

Ball on Idaho 34 yard line.

Bobby decides to go for it. I for one REALLY liked the call. That would have been the dagger if they could gain those two yards. I REALLY liked the call, but I really didn’t care for the actual PLAY called. Seems like either straight up the middle or a counter play or option pitch would have been more effective….especially when they know you’re running. Even a little pass play where the TE slides out on what looks like a run play…

ended up not mattering, but would have saved me a LOT of angst…

The entire second half was conservative play calling. The first half had misdirection and yada, yada, yada. Not one in the second half?

Well the other options weren’t to good. Kick the 50 yarder, if we make it, great, but the Spuds still have time for a game winning drive. Punt and like as not the net gain is only 20 yards at most and the Spuds have even more time to put a drive together. So I think it was the only call. We do need a more innovative short yardage play tho. Maybe with...Gubner as a lead block?

Great call! The only call. What are you gonna do, kick the field goal? I think Bobby felt good about the time left, no time outs for the Vandals, and especially the defense controlling the outcome. That stunt by Edwards was incredible.

That's 2 weeks now where I feel we almost gave the gave away due to bad play calling down the stretch in particular the 4th quarter. We need to keep our foot on their throats/be more aggressive for much longer before going ultra conservative

There were a few calls where Ostmo was in the game, where another back with some speed would have been helpful. Not knocking on Ostmo making a bad read or cut, just need someone with more wheels for those plays.

1) Definitely the right call.
2) Don’t mind the play called.
3) Personally would prefer a bit less of a phone booth formation.
4) We need to develop a fuck you oline and a fuck you play list.
