Dropping a bye?PlayerRep said:South Dakota, North Alabama, Oregon and Monmouth (replacing Liberty).
North Alabama is currently DII, but will be FCS in the Big South in 2019; Monmouth is also a Big South member. Oregon is not in the Big South.....PlayerRep said:South Dakota, North Alabama, Oregon and Monmouth (replacing Liberty).
No, it's the year with 13 Saturdays to the season and 12 games are allowed.RayWill said:Dropping a bye?PlayerRep said:South Dakota, North Alabama, Oregon and Monmouth (replacing Liberty).

I'm not a play up guy, either, PR...but if we're going to play an FBS team, might as well be a regional game.PlayerRep said:grizband said:That's actually not a bad non conference...FBS, and three winnable FCS games. No marquee FCS matchup, but those should come later in the season

Agreed. A good and interesting schedule. I am not a play-up guy, but Oregon is obviously very good now and in the West. Marquee games should come in the playoffs.
Pflu's in town this week. Oops, off topic.

I'm not a huge fan of the play down games...I'd rather play an easy FCS team than a d2The_Real_Chief said:grizband said:I'm not a play up guy, either, PR...but if we're going to play an FBS team, might as well be a regional game.PlayerRep said:grizband said:That's actually not a bad non conference...FBS, and three winnable FCS games. I'm a play down guy more than a play up guy, i like our matchups with Western State College and Fort Lewis.

NCAA rules permit FCS programs an extra game in years when there are 13 Saturdays between Labor Day weekend and the weekend before Thanksgiving, which most recently occurred in 2014 and is set to happen again in 2019 and 2024.
