4 Non-conference games in 2019

North Alabama is currently DII, but will be FCS in the Big South in 2019; Monmouth is also a Big South member. Oregon is not in the Big South.....

That's actually not a bad non conference...FBS, and three winnable FCS games. No marquee FCS matchup, but those should come later in the season

Agreed. A good and interesting schedule. I am not a play-up guy, but Oregon is obviously very good now and in the West. Marquee games should come in the playoffs.

Pflu's in town this week. Oops, off topic.

I'm not a play up guy, either, PR...but if we're going to play an FBS team, might as well be a regional game.

I'm a play down guy more than a play up guy, i like our matchups with Western State College and Fort Lewis.

I'm not a huge fan of the play down games...I'd rather play an easy FCS team than a d2

Agree to disagree, I like an early season easy win game against a RMAC team.

North Dakota series ties right into NoDAk's argument on the summit and realignment board that you guys will leave the big sky and join the dakotas in the new FCS football playing summit league.

NDSU
UND
SDSU
SDU
MSU
UM
EWU
Idaho
UNC

That is his dream he says you guys will support :)

Dropping a bye?
No, it's the year with 13 Saturdays to the season and 12 games are allowed.
Is that actually a thing? I kinda want to see a source for that.

LMGTFY.

NCAA rules permit FCS programs an extra game in years when there are 13 Saturdays between Labor Day weekend and the weekend before Thanksgiving, which most recently occurred in 2014 and is set to happen again in 2019 and 2024.

do we know which ones are home and away? Assuming South Dakota and obviously Oregon are on the road?

While I agree "screw UNC," no way in hell Wyoming would get on board with that. Wyoming has too much history with better teams and better programs to join a bunch of FCS teams. This might be a Montana-centric forum, but the Cowpokes aren't a rival. After playing 14 times, we still have never beat them.

Also on the screw UNC topic, take off EWU as well. We wouldn't want or need a small directional school with a 5k stadium in a conference trying to gain prestige.
