Before anyone say the griz deserved to lose. We lost by 7 which is the amount we should have gotten due to the 1 blunder by refs... not including the other blunders(I'm not sure but I think CCU only had 1 call against them with 10+ against us)

The refs lost this game... These refs ended our season...

Call Nine -wah -wah and maybe a Waaah-mbulance will come and get you. Fact is the Griz needed to make more plays.

nah, this game was badly influenced by the officials. who knows what would have happened, but they changed the rules, so to speak.
Reminds me of the game we had a safety called against us for stepping out of the back of the end zone on a kickoff return

That was my thought too. I think today's blunder was way worse than that safety call a few years back.

Really though, the Griz had the ball with a 1rst and 10 at the 17. They needed to be able to score with that circumstance, and if you aren't good enough to score in that situation, you aren't good enough to win playoff games.

Am I mad about that call! If you think that had no effect you're delusional. In such a close game, it was crucial. No wonder they could not get any points on that drive after that. Also that INT was a killer. The ball needed to come out faster. That was on first down, right? Also, very crucial drive. I was shouting at monitor the whole time.

Kudos to the fans who showed up and stuck it out there in the cold. You could clearly hear the MONTANA - GRIZZLIES chant. Was right there with them.

So much for the weather helping the Griz. Congrats to a well prepared Coastal Carolina team. Their biggest win in history.

And congrats to a great season Griz, wonderful turnaround this year. The playoff wins will return with this group, I am not worried.

Two big factors to this loss:

1. Obvious f*** up by the refs which cost the Griz a TD.

2. No kicking game.

Kicking game is tough in this weather
JJ was off today too many times and it took us too long to adjust to their QB scrambling
It was a good year for UM football by any measure. They had a chance to pull this one out against a better team with some superior coaching and managed to make it exciting in spite of some poor execution of a questionable defensive plan and offense that was not as strong as in the past. Next year, with some creative coaching, things might be different. 10-3, is damn good.

This is such a shitty excuse. You understand that the 7 points they took off was the difference in the game? Yes you need to overcome it but if you think that was the only referee blunder you are blind. The refs were 1 sided the entire game and it's we deserved to be IN the game more so than we were. Would we have won? Who knows but the refs took the oppurtunity from us and that is why people are pissed off

I think the Griz thought they had this one won before CC got on the plane. I think Griz thought cold loud home game against a southern team would aid in the game today. With that said the Griz also had sites on NDSU. No need to worry about that now.

Congrats to the Griz on a great comeback when things looked bleak. But let's all be real.

Southern Utah - one and done.
NAU - one and done - crushed by south Dakota State.
Cats - lose last 3 - choked away a promising season after being ranked top 10 all year - crushed by a poor SFA team.
UM - without miracle last second wins vs. SoDak and Cal Poly (who lost to Yale), and a last second win at Sac State, probably shouldn't have been in playoffs.

Big Sky was way overrated this year..........

Let's hope for 11-0 cats at 11-0 Griz in Missoula next year and bring some pride back to the big sky.

(pride aside - I still can't root for eastern - veron Adams is a punk...)

I think that is right. That bomb for the CC touchdown really took the wind out of the Griz sails. It was like Oh shit ... apparently these guys aren't going to just fold up their tents and try to go home early.

Yes, Yes, YES!!!! Football is such a mental game. On a series where the Griz were driving and almost certainly would have scored, the refs taking away a legitimate play absolutely messed with their heads. Not only that, the refs missed the blatant offsides on the play where Jordy threw the interception. Either one of those could have significantly impacted the outcome of the game. Would the Griz have won? Maybe not but they should have had a fair shot to do so.

Ty is over his head. Schemes are piss poor and he gets beat by his counterpart consistently. CC went on a run in first half and Ty can't make any in game adjustments.
No reason to give Delaney the extension unless you think the next coach is on the staff and just needs a bit more time. If that is what the admin is thinking we are screwed. If we end up hiring from the outside, then delaying that move just puts at risk further deterioration of the program.
Haven't seen such a boneheaded crew of officials ever. Should have been Tight game down the end. Griz playing loose with momentum and CC tightening up. Anyone's ball game. CC real good team that is very well coached and may certainly have what it took to finish things off regardless. Griz fans deserved to find out. Piss poor officiating.
My 2nd fav team in playoffs was NDSU. I also like to cheer for teams that beat my team, unless they are dicks. CC is a class program that deserved to win. Not sure who I end up pulling for next week but it should be a good game.
Drive safely on your way home. Roads still bad from Belgrade east

The thing is, these sorts of things happen to all football teams ... disappointing bounces, weird flukes giving their opponents a great break. But championship teams are not only physically disciplined enough to play the game but they are mentally tough enough to give it their all when those sorts of bad breaks happen. The Griz were not like that today, which is why they make a short appearance in the playoffs.

1 bad bounce 1 bad call w/e. Sure. But it was throughout the entire game. Not just the 1. That's why people are pissed.

No way our team would have thought this.

And we held them to 7 points in the 3rd and 0 points in the 4th qtr.

We got our ass handed to us in the first half. We returned the favor in the second half.

If you had told me the refs could be as unbelievably inept and unfair as they were then I would not have believed in this team either. It's just too bad that this ruined what could have been the second greatest comeback in Griz history - see SDSU

Maybe we still would have lost - but you can't change the rules as you see fit in the middle of a game.

Whatever makes you feel better...

Down and distance on 3rd down and not converting on 4th down was a huge reason we didn't stay with this team in the 1st half. Not to mention poor tackling. The officiating was god aweful and after review they will be done. Horrible job by this crew.

They better be done. And fined too.
