Totally forgot to add Addison Owen as part of my players that stood out yesterday, my bad. He had a pick and many nice pass breakups. He's continuing to play more and more like a linebacker that's ready to make major contributions. He's really good in pass coverage, I like what I'm seeing from him.

Any particular players that you notice are NOT there?

Nope, all accounted for.

Thank you Brint for taking the time to provide such detailed answers to my questions. Your observations helped me get a good picture of what direction the Griz might be headed. Your answers were by and large what I was hoping to hear.
A few more questions if you don't mind: have you noticed in defensive groups this spring an emphasis on proper tackling form and proper pursuit angles? In regard to the multiple drops by the WRs, et al, does it seem to be concentration, improper technique, too much rotation on the pass ( funny spins that don't feel right on your hands) or a combination of all three? Do the position coaches tell them to get it next time or are they getting an earful? Thank you in advance for your keen observations.

Not a lot on tackling overall since the contact stops with a wrap-up or when guys collide, the coaches don't want the players to knock guys to the ground. As for angles, yes lots of talk on that, and I noticed it quite a bit from coach Delaney these last two days.

With the WRs, I think yesterday it was really the wind and getting back from the break, there were a lot less drops today. Coach Baker isn't a loud guy out there so I don't really hear what he says but he really doesn't get after the returners when they miss a punt... so I'm guessing he doesn't give them an earful - however Rosenbach sure does.
