4-1 - One Game at a Time

Or are people upset Hauck didn't break it down and explain specifically why Brown gave the Griz a better chance to win than MayGinnes? Those pressers would get really long if he had to go into all the minute aspects of being a good football player...."well, you know, he has good genetics, ate a better pregame meal, slept better the night before, seemed less distracted and processing things better, was more coachable during practice, had better weightroom numbers this week, seemed looser, seemed more mentally/emotionally stable", etc. etc.

Well, the unsaid portion of his answer is “Brown gave us a better chance to win because he chooses to play TO the whistle instead of quitting halfway through plays”.

Lol. “What’s up with Mayginnes”…

Yes. Gee. I wonder. Wherever could Mayginnes have been.

Playas write up was written like someone who has just watched the team for the first time this year lol

From Missoulian:

“We’re certainly excited to be 4-1 and get a big win on homecoming," Montana coach Bobby Hauck said. "It was a great game. It was kind of a fun game to be a part of, there’s a lot of things going on.

"I thought our guys really did a great job of taking some change at halftime and doing a few things differently and going out and taking the win. So, good by our guys. I’m proud of our team."

"When the offense got the ball in the second half, we took control of the line of scrimmage and made some plays," Hauck said after UM ran 51 times for 174 yards while throwing for 220 yards on 25 pass attempts.

"The option route gave us some trouble in the first half," he said, adding: "We adjusted the coverage at halftime and then we picked it coming out of the locker room. They went to that well too often in that case.”

Or as my hubby always says, "some people, if they don't know you just can't tell them."

"He quit on us and so we benched him" wouldn't exactly be a super time consuming response.

“What we’ve GOT here, is…failure to communicate.

Sorry, I didn't view the movie clip first. Shoulda done my best rural southern prison Warden imitation before submitting. Struthers Martin was perfect for the role.

Whether you're "woke" or not, that would be an unacceptable comment about another human being in a public forum ... even if it happened to be true. You could – literally – ruin a young man's life.

Hyperbole. He he hasn't hit the real work world, yet. Boss thinks you aren't pulling your load, he takes action to motivate your ass, or gets rid of you. Sh*ttin' on your co-workers would cause THEM to boogie.

I think Hauck handled the situation perfectly. He doesn’t owe anyone an answer and he wasn’t throwing his player under the bus. He made a statement and a fairly obvious one by benching him. Now let’s see how the kid responds. Maybe he doesn’t have the desire to play anymore or Brown will be better from a chemistry standpoint. He also sent a clear message to the team. I have a lot of things to complain about with BH. This isn’t one of them.

Yeah, I suppose that's fair.

There is no need to call out the young man. Correct the situation, and help him grow. The issue stems from something else most likely. Maybe he was standing up for himself or something bigger. That would be a leader
