I think Hauck lets the media know in advance not to touch a subject at a press conference and gets pissed when its asked. By now these reporters should know that of him. Just like he can't comment on injuries or what goes on in the locker. It will get resolved, maybe by today.
 
I have it on no authority that the entire team will run out in 37 jerseys, and all but one player will strip them off before kickoff.

Sort of a new twist on the baby reveal trend.

The jerseys will be autographed and available for purchase after the game.

Although I've never had a single lesson, if this doesn't happen they desperately need me in marketing.

I can't see how it would have anything to do with his ego. He's the coach. He believes the coach has some say in the decision. He has had some say in prior decisions, I believe. The school/coaches give out the jerseys/numbers. I think it should be solely a players' decision, but it is apparently not.

That's fair, what do you think would be the cause for Welnel not being allowed to wear the jersey that Lewis passed down to him?

See above. I was told weeks ago that Weinel didn't expert to wear the jersey this year. I had 4 jersey numbers in high school and college. Each was just issued to me.

That would be awesome if it would happen! Get every jersey signed by the whole team and auction them off after the game!

It's always illuminating, just how quickly a kitten fan is able to immediately go into 'little brother" mode and prove just how bitter and butt-hurt they "feel".
