33 to DE

Just reading that Dante Olson is going to get a look at DE. This surprises me as I thought he was a shoe-in at one of the LB spots. The guy is a legit hammer! That might free up some reps for Michael Mathews who I think might be a great one.

It is my understanding that 46 to LB also.

Dante will be a force @ end. Book it.

Says Robby will vie for playing time so he's not sitting? If someone already went over this, sorry, I missed it.

Also, sounds like many of the kids staying at their previous positions are being asked to transform a bit too, bulk up, thin down, so likely this staff tends to utilize them a bit differently than previous regime.

This sounds like Robby will be eligible to play this season. Has there been a decision on his eligibility ?

Makes sense, but are they just gonna have people patrolling the stands telling anyone that whips their phone out to leave?

Yes, that's why I've heard. Initially, they've hired Brint to police the phone/social media thing.

Jace Lewis now has a legit shot to be a starter this fall.

...to be honest I think Nagler should move to DE..the guy is the real deal..he's got the
height and the speed to be special in that position..I would keep Olson at LB..his body is much more suited for that..anyways its going to be interesting how it all pans out!

Dante has been a star LB and ST player since arriving to campus (defensive scout team player of the year). And he''s been getting after QBs on game days. Smart position move to DE by the coaches. This will allow Nagler a shot at LB (who has good size and speed to cover a lot of ground). Good move for both of them. I really like the idea of a former WR roaming the defense looking for interceptions :!:

Not to mention a former high school High Jump Champion (Nagler). Get up Big Man! (and snag some INTs) He'll match-up extremely well with opponents big TE's.
