You would have thought Bobby could scheme at least A touchdown. SDSU has a young staff, thought the prep time would give Griz an advantage.
Dude, STFU.
I have been a confirmed Bobby hater for two decades. I would definitely be one of the first people to be on Bobby's a$$ if I thought the team was less than prepared.
That being said, this team
was prepared. I thought it was a very well coached game. The defense played lights out holding SDSU to 23 points. Three inches and it's a 10-23 game. take back
player mistakes and it's quite possibly a 17-23 game and maybe even a 24-23 game.
This team was prepared.
The team was prepared for every game, and Coach Hauck, Pease and Bradford flat outcoached the NDSU and Furman Coaching staffs. The men on this team played their hearts out.
No one, not one single person in this program, deserves any disrespect from the fan base. They exceeded all real expectations and made it to the NC.
What were the expectations this year?
For the FCS football world the Griz were supposed to finish fifth in the conference.
For the fans, our expectations were for the Grizzlies to have a winning season, beat state, and
just make the playoffs.
The team finished the season 10-1; they crushed state; they not only made the playoffs, they got the #2 seed. They beat Delaware, who was supposed to beat them. They beat Furman, who was supposed to beat them. They beat NDSU who they REALLY were supposed to lose to.
The defense only allowed 23 points to be scored, and according to Stan Becton, this equates being dominated, 63-3 against the alleged #1 defense in the FCS is domination.
Play this game again next year and the Griz walk away with the trophy.
I can't take back the trash I talked about Coach Hauck for fourteen years, but you won't see me talking trash about him anymore.
He is a great coach who brought this team back from the FCS graveyard that Engstrom and Stitt left it in, back to the national stage.
