KVA is our best linebacker. We, as Griz fans, need to get him bailed out and back on the field ASAP.
 
The real story is going to be real interesting for sure. So disappointed with all this. Yesterday I actually thought we could go 3-0 and be apart of the playoff discussion. Today lets just get this season over with and start anew.

You don't get it. In my first post I was being sarcastic but you took it serious. The fact is that Robin got fired for defending a kid who he knew was innocent (as did every kid at that school who knew the accuser). He was proven right. Get out of the box and recognize sarcasm and jokes for what they are. Also recognize that Bobs Stitt can sometimes stink.

KVA WAS our best linebacker. He is now suspended. Only 3 games left. I doubt he will play again.

p.s. - I thought players weren't allowed to go out during the season?

I believe that has to do with bars...not a residential neighborhood and private residences...
 
I have only read the 1st page here, but felt I should post before reading more. I don't care who you are, athlete, or just a student, this incredibly irresponsible and stupid. If I were Stitt, I would dismiss all 3 from the team immediately!!! WTF? Your team just got it's handed to them, instead of caring about your teammates and asking yourself what can I do better for my team? You are out in the early morning hours making stupid ass decisions!!!! As of being out early is not bad enough, deciding to take part in an attempted burglary take stupidity and irresponsibility to an all new level!!!

To top it off, these 3 are all upperclassman and have been here 3+ years. KVA, do you realize this just cost you 100's of thousands to millions of dollars????? You are from a small school, and then do this. You just kissed off any hope and NFL future!!!! John Schmaing, I get you have been going through some tough times, but walking on the wrong side of the law is never the right answer. Your life just got a lot more difficult and it will take a long time to recover from this judgement. To make it worse, like it or not, GRIZ and Cats fans hold Montana raised athletes and kids to higher standards. The Montana culture does not promote this kind of bullshit. You absolutely were raised better than this!!!

Joey Counts, do you realize how many GRIZ fans have been supporting and pulling for you to get through your injuries and be a major player for the GRIZ? Where in the hell is your head?

Even if these players are found not guilty of the accused crimes, I still dismiss them from the team on merit alone. Being out at this time of the morning/late night doing those kind of activities shows your focus is not on football or your school. The best thing that can happen is to be given reason to reevaluate your life, and being kicked off the team surely should help with that!!!

This is an opportunity for Stitt to make a big statement to his team and community. He needs to make the statement loud, and let these guys go!!!

I have never understood the idea of coming home form an away game and going to a party... UM athletes have been doing it for years and I have never heard of one coach putting the end to these stupid parties... CURFEW... HELL YES, even most NFL teams have that!!

BTW... Can we have a "Groundhog Day" Weekend and just start all over on Friday?

Agreed. It's crazy when you watch a show like Hard Knocks and observe how professional and serious 95% of those players are. I get it that it's training camp, and that it's the NFL, but those guys are up at 5 and in bed by 10. Having seen first hand what some college players schedules are like, it's a pretty big difference.

On another note, Rule had a great point re: KVA. He was borderline before this. He probably needed to be an All American and make the Dean's list to get drafted. Pretty expensive mistake. I hope all three learn from it and turn it around.
 
Mtgrizrule- well stated. As a rabid Griz fan I can shake off disappointing loses to Poly, Weber and PSU and still somehow look forward to the next game but this kind of incident esp after the events of the last few years Is a total disappointment and I want to see swift, decisive and harsh consequences, include a team meeting. Yeah we will miss VAckeren's contributions on the field but a more deserving young player will fill the spot just fine. I don't care if they were just gonna jack a six pack from a teammate's fridge. They shouldn't be out raising hell at 3 am esp during the season. Boot 'em and don't look back.
