One way to do that is to beat them and I don't see that happening any time soon..So, get used to it. EWU had this game in hand and blew it by poor clock management. I wonder if they will now demand the coach be fired.

No kidding. They have some great young players.
 
At least EWUs football program probably made about 750.00$ off this game after they tally up the tickets purchased at the gate...so ultimately its an EWU win.......haaha suckers!

If it had worked, we'd all be calling the 4th down play -- which should have been completed -- a stroke of genius. But, with the pressure on, and game potentially in hand ... oops.

That one play was not why EWU lost the game. They proved to be totally gutless at the end -- and compounded it by playing the "prevent" [yourself from winning] defense. All they really had to do was make one play, a big stop with loss of yardage, to have a chance. But they didn't.
 
EWU's D was suspect all year. Came back to haunt them. Adams makes the easy thrown on 4th and 2 and the game is over. The other 4th down before the half hurt too. Welcome to playoff football EWU....you don't just show up and win even though you are favored and playing at home.
 
Towson is not a worthy opponent for NDSU, but, they couldn't cancel the game, Somebody has to play North Dakota State in the chipper, and Towson exposed EWU's D. I'd rather seen it be the Eags, but make no mistake, EWU, Towson, Griz, Eastern Illinois, it DID NOT MATTER who made it to the chipper.

If NDSU shuts down West, Towson will have a tough time scoring. I do hope their QB is healed to make it a showing.

West is a fantastic running back. Towson screwed up by not using him more after their QB was hurt.

Hmmm....my sense is that EWU has essentially "solved" Towson (and their QB and West both appear hurt) and EWU moves at will....much like Towson vs EIU...the only thing stopping EWU at this point is EWU.

No, not a coaching blunder, great ass call, hVe you seen the replay on ESPN, Cupp was wide open, just over thrown by about a yard. Same as the NEAR TD at the end of the 1st hLf that came up a foot short. Eastern was , however you look at it a yard or a foot away from winning the game. I think a lot of you are Monday morning quarter backing this, but in the end eastern just didn't make the big plays the normally do to win , and the defense played too loose, per d coordinator and let it slip away. Tough tough loss for our guys. But hey, go ahead and make fun of it if that's makes you feel better.

I wouldn't call it making fun, we had no dog in the fight and most wanted to see EWU-NDSU so we were probably more objective than usual.

The facts are:

1) Adams made a horrible decision at the end of the half that cost them 3-7 points.
2) Their clock management was terrible down the stretch...again...like against us.
3) Adams missed Kupp on the most wide open 4 yard pass you'll ever see inside the 10 for the dagger.
4) The EWU defense went full prevent and let Towson easily march it down at the end.

The 4th down call was a good call, they just blew it, but that wasn't the only factor. EWU should have been up 2 scores and running out the clock at the end, but they left points and time all over the place and it bit them.

Come on now. Kupp has hauling in shit passes all season from Adams. Vermin can escape the pressure but can't throw worth a shit. Clark has tried to pull his weight and Vermin's too but its gonna take 3 decent recievers to pack his ass around and into a title game.
