The bigger question is will YOU be able to admit YOU were wrong when we’re 9-1 going into the brawl?

I’m guessing……NOT.

I can only speak for myself, AZ, and did speak the words 'I was wrong' about Cam, after calling for Brown in the second half. It was on the official gameday thread 'Hell'...something, page 19 at 10:28 pm. He did not have a good first half, and something needed to change. I did not believe he could change himself, but, I WAS WRONG.

Since Brown did not play a single down, nobody can know if he might have been an improvement, or have played more poorly in that game. I agree with the poster who stated that the UDUB game was not the proper situation to have a new QB who had never started a game playing. But I can't wait to continue my evaluation of our QB situation. I'll say it one more time...... I want Humphrey to play as well as some of you believe that he can. I just think he has some potential issues that may bite us in the butt. We'll know the answer soon enough, won't we.

Then you'd be guessing wrong, my friend. I have never been a warrior of the retrospective. I have the balls to make observations in writing, and will admit if I am incorrect. I told the board that there will be a huge addition to our QB group next January, and asked everyone to bookmark my post. Does that indicate someone afraid to go on record?

I'll call your bluff, and see is you are willing to make a statement, or will you prefer to be a warrior of the retrospective like most.

Please go on record to tell us whether Cam Humphrey will be the answer at QB, meaning that he will be good enough to lead us to a Big Sky Championship, and play-off run, or will he be pulled at some time during the season because of inconsistent play. I'll wait.

I have no idea who is the “answer”. I’ll leave that to the experts like you and Bobby Hauck. I DO know we’re 1-0, with a victory against the #20 FBS team in the country (something that’s NEVER happened at this school), and CAM was the QB for just about every single offensive play of that victory. Brown may very well be the 2nd coming of Christ, but until Cam flames WAY out, we may never know. Until next year.

See, isn't it easy to wiff on the pre-season evaluation, and just wait for the season to comment? Don't fret, you're not alone in Griz-land. But I prefer to make my observations, live by them, and see what transpires.

Well good for you. But having seen not one second of practice, and a total of ONE game, I’m in no position to pass judgment on anybody’s talent level. I acknowledge that, and it has nothing to do with “whiffing” on anything.

I'm intrigued and might "go on record".

But I need some clarification because your post is binary and allows a lot of wiggle room. Do you want me to state for the record that a) Cam Humphrey will lead the Griz to a Big Sky championship and a play-off run AND will not be pulled during the season because of inconsistent play? b) Cam Humphrey will lead the griz to a BSC championship and a play off run? c) Cam Humphrey will be pulled some time during the season for inconsistent play?

This fucking thread is beginning to sound very UM75’ish

I’m going to go “on record” in agreement. Hope I’m not wrong. Can’t imagine the humiliation if I am.

Glad you had the balls to get on board. I think you’ll find I predicted the demise of this thread in 2017, 4 years before its creation.

argh! doubted me at the time, I bet he feels foolish now.

Look at us, putting ourselves out there! Like a couple of gals without a care in the world. Caution to the wind, shame be damned!

Nice spin job. You know what I mean.

So, you didn't see his previous starts? How many games do you need? He was a 4th year QB when he finally got a few starts. What is he now, 24 years old? 8-)

Cam is not going to flame WAY out, but we'll have some blowout leads and opportunities to see a lot of Brown. And a QB rarely makes it through an entire season without injury that require backup help.

Based off two year ago I have some concerns. I would hope in 24 months of practice he’s gotten better. Time will tell.

And with that, Ducky will claim victory.

I agree. Cam is a very frustrating QB to evaluate, because he makes a lot of great throws, and has some running ability to make big plays with his legs. But he always seems to bring down the highs, with some head-scratching lows, like throwing into coverage, inaccurate throws to wide-open receivers, and throwing short passes too hot for our receivers to handle. I can not remember a Griz QB who had such a disparity between his upside, and his downside.

Just talk football and you're a good poster. Where you get squirrely is trying to suggest that I will never own-up to admit that I have been wrong about an observation. What is laughable about this is that.....first, you have to make an observation and put yourself out there in order to eat crow if it does not come true. I have never been afraid of doing that, but you seem reluctant to do so.

Is this America? This is still America, isn’t it? We’re allowed to say what we want? First amendment, and all that?

Perhaps you missed my crow eating to Spanky for mocking him about the Griz’s chance of beating UW?

And you don’t own up. In fact, you typically dig your heels in even further and start slinging insults.
